Isa sa masaya sa pagdiriwang ng 5th anniversary ng Showbiz Central ay si Raymond Gutierrez.

Pero sinabi ni Raymond sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na may hesitation on his part nang tanggapin niyang maging isa sa co-host ng afternoon showbiz talk show ng Kapuso network every Sunday.

“When I first accepted this job, I didn’t know this would last for five years.

“That time, hindi pa ako sanay mag-host ng isang showbiz-oriented talk show, kasi ang hosting jobs ko then were more on lifestyle and talent search.

“May reluctance on my part to accept Showbiz Central when it was first offered to me kasi it takes a certain type of host to deliver showbiz news.

“Kailangan open ka sa balita. Kailangan updated ka at kailangan nagbabasa ka rin talaga kasi dapat fearless ka when you ask questions.

“So I had to learn that through the years.

“Thankful din ako sa staff, sa mga co-hosts ko kasi parang na-train din ako.

“It served as a good training ground for me as a host.”

Enjoy siya ngayon sa Showbiz Central?

“Yes, enjoy ako,” sagot ni Raymond.

“Parang hindi siya work. Parang natural na lang na I come here sa studio and do my stuff.

“I am happy we are marking our fifth anniversary and I hope we have another five years and more years to come.

“Parang family na kami rito.

“Actually, mas enjoy pa nga kami backstage. Ang kulitan namin backstage is more fun.”
