Life without Eat Bulaga! is so much “busier,” according to Daiana Menezes.

The Brazilian beauty says she’s no longer “in the eye of the public TV viewers of my former daily show,” but she has the time now for tapings, shooting, and performing in different provinces.

Of course, she had to initially deal with the “change” in what had become her routine for five years.

She misses TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon), “lalo na [si] Tito Joey joking on the dressing room,” and also “Ms Pia G.”

She also mentions her “boss/ co-manager Malou Fagar,” who is still her text mate to date.

In the email she sent to Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph) on May 20, she underscores, “I LOVE MY EAT BULAGA FAMILY FOREVER AND WILL BE THANKFUL TO THEM.”

At the same time, she’s excited about doing more than just smile for the camera, and exploring the other things that "Amiga Daiana" can do.

WHAT NOW? Her mindset at present is to improve her craft.

Daiana elaborates, “Meaning, ang gusto ko is give to the public something they deserve [to] watch and they'll appreciate, [and] not just see me daily sa TV just for the sake of having a regular and yet not putting smile or emotions on people's face.”

Performing, she says, “is something I love to do,” that’s why, she considers herself lucky because she got to sing and dance every Sunday on the defunct SOP.

Recording the theme song of GMA-7’s series All About Eve with Krista Kleiner and Martha was also a feat for Daiana, who initially wanted to just model around the world.

And even if she’s not that fluent in Tagalog, “I had some breaks in between.”

One by one, Daiana enumerates the opportunities that came her way—playing female lead in My Darling Aswang for four seasons; hosting Ogags; and being part of the TV shows Lipgloss, Lokomoko U, Bubble Gang, Paparazzi, Talentadong Pinoy, and films Iskul Bukol, Bubble Gang, Dobol Trobol, and Yaya and Angelina (The Spoiled Brat Movie).

She is now working on Sketch, a movie, and Umagang Kay Ganda, where she has a make-over segment running every Monday and Friday.

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS. Acting is where she wants to invest more time and energy.
