Better know for her funny personality on screen, it may come as a surprise to some that Chariz Solomon was chosen as one of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World for 2012.

Though she didn’t make it to the Top 14 of StarStruck Season 4, the Kapuso actress made a name for herself by breaking out of the girl-next-door mold and becoming a comedienne.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had a one-on-one interview with her last Wednesday night, May 30, at the FHM girls’night out with Bela Padilla and Chariz Solomon. The event, which was hosted by GMA Artists Center and Asia Brewery, was held at Relik Tapas Bar and Lounge in The Fort, Taguig City.

Despite being ranked at just above 90, Chariz is very happy to be part of the list and considers it as an achievement.

“Well, I’m proud to say na pang-apat na taon ko na ‘to.

"So, you know…the whole thing na part ako ng FHM family, it’s my fourth year and I’m very happy.

“And this year talaga, talagang I see to it na makakarampa ako sa day na yun.

“And kahit anong place…sabi ko nga, ang sweet naman ng Artist Center na ginagawa nila ‘to for us…

“Ang saya-saya kasi… I don’t know, hindi naman ako nag-e-expect na nasa 50 ako, actually.

“So kahit na, this is a big deal for us.

"Napaka-happy ko na may ginawang ganito yung Artist Center for us,” she said, gratefully.

When it comes to campaigning for herself, the 23-year-old actress likes to keep her expectations low but her hopes high.

“Actually, nahihiya ako. Pero, I know naman na my friends are voting for me.

“Ayun, pero nahihiya ako, sa totoo lang.

"Nahihiya akong mag-campaign pero…ano lang…parang feeling ko, may time naman for me.
