“Sinabi ko sa kanila na I hope you understand what TV5 offered me. I’m just thinking the future of Miss World Philippines.

“Naintindihan naman nila,” sabi ni Cory.

Nilinaw rin ni Cory na isang taon lang ang naging kontrata ng Miss World Philippines sa GMA-7 kaya wala naman naging malaking problema.

Aniya nga, “We’re still very close.”

Sino sa mga GMA executives ang kinausap niya?

“Kinausap ko si Jimmy Duavit, also si Atty. [Felipe] Gozon, at saka si Wilma Galvante at that time. And si Bang Arespacochaga, ang aming EP [executive producer].”

Hindi ba nag-counter offer ang GMA?

“It was too late, e, I already said yes to TV5.”

A LASTING PARTNERSHIP WITH TV5. Gaano siya ka-excited ngayong nasa pangalawang taon na ang Miss World Philippines sa ilalim ng kanyang pamamahala?

“Very excited, very optimistic, and very inspired with TV5 team as my backer. I’m really impressed with their organization,” sabi ni Cory.

Ano ang pinagkaiba ng pakikipagtrabaho sa TV5 kaysa noong nasa GMA-7 pa sila?

“There’s really a basic difference. Well, both GMA-7 and TV5 are both professional networks.

“But the only difference, the basic difference is that TV5 is managing and producing this pageant with a sense of ownership already. Parang kanila na ito.”

Malaking tulong din daw ang TV5 para makapunta sila sa iba’t ibang probinsiya para mahanap ang magagandang kandidata.

“With the help of TV5, we were able to travel all over the country in search of ladies who can best represent the Philippines and the Miss World cause.
