Cory Quirino explains decision to transfer Miss World Philippines from GMA-7 to TV5

Cory Quirino on moving Miss World Philippines franchise from GMA-7 to TV5: "GMA-7 and TV5 are both professional networks. But the only difference, the basic difference is that TV5 is managing and producing this pageant with a sense of ownership already. Parang kanila na ito.”

Gaano kalaki ang importansiyang ibinibigay sa Miss World Philippines ng TV5?

“Sobra, sobrang tindi ang importance na ibinibigay ng TV5 sa Miss World Philippines. Tingnan mo naman itong production na ito.

“I’m very pleased, I’m very happy with their high level of professionalism and commitment to excellence.”

Sa tingin niya ba pangmatagalan na ang partnership ng Miss World Philippines at TV5?

“I feel it, yes. I feel it that it will be.”

THE PHILIPPINES AS HOST OF MISS WORLD 2015. Ang mananalong kandidata sa Miss World Philippines ay lalaban sa Miss World 2012 na magaganap sa Ordos City sa Inner Mongolia, China sa August 16.

Masaya ring inanunsiyo ni Cory na posibleng maging host ang Pilipinas sa Miss World 2015.

“I’m sharing this with you—Miss World Philippines together with TV5 is formally announcing through me that we are going to pursue the hosting of Miss World in 2015 here in the Philippines.

“With the support of the Department of Tourism, sabi nga ni Secretary Ramon Jimenez, Jr. sa amin two months ago when we made the presentation, ‘I am interested, I want to support Miss World.’

“And I will quote him because he really did say that in front of Gwendoline Ruais.

“So, I’m very happy and I’m very excited about the Philippines hosting Miss World in 2015.

“I hope hindi tayo maunahan ng ibang bansa. Basta nandun na tayo.

“That is the big news. That is the dream.”

MORE OFFERS FROM TV5. Sa ngayon hindi lang daw ang pagiging franchise owner ng Miss World Philippines ang pinagkakaabalahan ni Cory.

buti na lang sa tv5 napunta ang Ms World, ang panget kasi last year, puro sponsor awards, miss ganito miss ganyan, the most boring pageant ever, bu raot kasi ang GMA. Ngayon mas maganda sigurado ang Ms World Philippines, for sure yan. Meron naman daw bagong pageant ang GMA.. Miss Kamuning 2012 ang premyo 1 year supply ng sardinas at instant noodles! bwahaha

bottomline wala ng International Beauty Pageant sa GMA 7. kaso option lang naman ang TV5 pag di maganda palbas sa GMA 7 at ABS. thats a FACT!

paano makaka aabante ang miss world philippines madam cory.? kung dyan ka sa tv5? baka matatawa si mam araneta dyan? ang tv5 malabo ang signal sa mga probinsya. sino naman ang magsponsor kung wlang manonood sa pageant na yan diba? dapat nag stay ka sa gma networkkasi nationwide malinaw ang signal. baka magalit sa iyo ang mga kamag-anak ng mga contestants na nasa malayong probinsya kasi hindi nila makita ng livetelecast.

I don't think people are not expecting your explanation because bottomline is PERA, Money at wla ng iba.kahit pa english ang explanation mo I just hope as professional you don't insinuate something that as if when Ms world was with GMA they didn't have a sense of ownership.sana lang you just said thank you and whatever good experience you had with GMA.oh yeah good luck sa wish mo na makuha ng Philippines ang ms World title but because ginawa mo ng self vested interest ang Ms World eh good luck na lang sa yo dahil may balik sa yo yan at sa Kapatid network mo.

Baka one day TV5 will have the full ownership of Miss World Phil. Haha..parang inangkin na kasi ng TV5 ang pageant co. Naku, Ms. Cory, baka gawin ka nalang PA ng TV5 for MW.

...........at no one,,,, first runner up sa ms universe at first runner up ng miss world at miss international ang produkto o mga pinakamataas na nagwagi nung panahon na nasa gma7 ang bb pilipinas.................sana lang mahigitan pa iyan ng abs at tv5...............lets wait and see

ako pa sa TV 5 magtayo na rin sila ng RATING COMPANY nila. ang ABS may TNS, ang GMA 7 may AGB. TV5 na lang ang wala. Or di kaya agawin na lang ng TV5 yung AGB sa TNS.

Parang ang tingin ko ay parang isang pamilya na humiwalay na sa mga magulang. Nagsimula sa isang apartment, nagsikap at nakakuha ng sapat na puhunan para maghanap ng mas maginhawang bahay. Natagpuan ang TV5 na nag offer ng magandang tahanan at pagkakataon, magpapaalam ka pa ba sa owner ng apartment eh bayad ka naman sa renta. Saka negosyo yan at pera pera lang ang usapan.

Paging shareholders of PLDT! Hindi ba kayo aangal na ang pera nyo ginagamit ni MVP na panggastos sa TV5?! E hindi naman good investment un. Palugi nga. Ang mamahal pa magbayad sa mga artista kahit laos at starlets. Give TV5 a few more months or a couple of years. Mauubos din ang kaban. Walang return of investments eh.

yes tama ang explanation ni ms cory pero sana sinabi nya na its all about business. and if you really know about business, gma still did the right decision of letting go ms. world. anyways, di naman buong taon panonoorin o araw araw panoorin ang ms world or bb pilipinas para maging kawalan sa gma.. try to think about business that is kung hindi puro ampalaya or talangka ang laman ng utak nyo.. pak!!!

iniwan na nga ng BB pilipinas ngayon iniwanan na nman ng MS WORLD, hahaha sabagay what should we expect from the cheapest network of PH??? ay nkalimutan ko, baka iisang tao na nga lang pala ang nag mamay-ari ngyon ng TB5 at GMEEWW.. wwooohhhh GO TB7, mag sanib pwersa na kac hindi kkyanin kung mag isa!
