Nakausap ng PEP.ph si Laguna Governor ER Ejercito kahapon, June 7, sa press presentation ng Miss World Philippines candidates na ginanap sa Centennial Hall ng Manila Hotel.

Una naming itinanong kay Governor ER kung paano naganap ang pag-uusap para maging official tourist destination ng mga candidates ng Miss World Philippines 2012 ang lalawigan ng Laguna.

“Well, they already approached me last year but I was very busy also. I also sponsored [partly] Miss Earth Philippines, that’s why this year I decided to host Miss World Philippines.

“Last year, Miss Earth kasi ang ini-sponsor ko, this year, Miss World Philippines naman," ang sabi niya sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

“And this is a good chance and opportunity to promote all the prime tourist destinations that we are very, very proud of. Like Enchanted Kingdom, the only theme park in the Philippines.

“We are promoting Pagsanjan Falls, we are going to take them on a boat ride to the falls. We are promoting our golf courses, the Laguna Lake, Caliraya Lake. We are promoting the Underground Cemetery of Nagcarlan, Mount Makiling, Mount Banahaw and Mount Cristobal.

“We are promoting the sapatos and tsinelas of Liliw, the barong Tagalog of Lumban, wood carving of Paete and we are also promoting the Jose Rizal shrine, the home of our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal.

“So we are promoting holistically all these prime tourist destinations that we are very, very proud of,” pahayag ni Governor ER.

Lahat ng iyon ay pupuntahan ng mga candidates?

“We are now in the process of fixing our itinerary for the upcoming visit of the twenty five candidates to Laguna.”

Bukod dito, isa rin si Governor ER sa mga uupong judges sa grand coronation night ng pageant sa June 24 na gaganapin sa Manila Hotel Tent at ipapalabas ng live sa TV5.

“I am actually one of the judges.”

CANDIDATE FROM LAGUNA. Hindi kaya siya intrigahin dahil may candidate na nanggaling sa Laguna?

“Actually I didn’t know! I didn’t know that there was someone from Laguna.

"And they did not tell me because we have a lot of candidates during the La Laguna Festival for the Ginoo and Binibining Laguna.
