Star Magic celebrates its 20th year; ABS-CBN’s biggest stars grace YES! magazine’s special gatefold cover

Star Magic also helps in managing their talents' finances. A portion of the stars' income goes to a bank account, which will become their fallback once showbiz career is no longer lucrative.

In the interview, Manahan also gives his two cents worth on how a star is made, the rise and fall of talents, and dealing with piracy and negative publicity.

    no doubt about it, piolo is the king of abs, he is front and center. kc's interview did not succceed in dislodging him from his throne. abs really loves him. bakit kaya? just asking!

    Whether we like it or not, PIOLO is one of the first-ever talents of Star Magic. He's now even considered an institution at ABS. Perhaps the company believes that they'll earn a lot from him. He's like the "Marian Rivera" of Channel 2. Would you mind to agree with that?!

    I already have it..Ganda ng outcome..Nice article,,nice interview..Well done Ms. Joan Maglipon...Super sulit ang bayad sa magazine..Mr. M is such a great man..To think,,wala silang kinukuhang komisyon sa mga artista nila..Station ang nagbabayad sa kanila..At bilib ako sa disiplinang iniimpose nila sa mga talent nila..Kahit ano pang sabihin ng mga taga Kapuso..Admit it or not,,nasa Star Magic ang pinaka sikat na artista na meron diuto sa Pinas...

    it was never ginaya kasi kung ginaya nila yun te sana pare.pareho lahat concept, style and everything., and if ever kung ginaya man at least natalbugan nila., you see MissHugoBacungan??? that's entertainment is very far way behind star magic., two things should be compared if they are comparable but in the case of SM and TE no deal yan...kodus star magic talents!!! you are undoubtedly and undeniably no.1..

    MISSING DATA. It has been twenty years, pero SINO sino ba yung mga nagsimula noon sa Star Magic. Wala naman nakakaalala, maliban kina John Lloyd Cruz, meron bang mga kilala sa Star Magic na yan?

    hahaha the eff are you talking about bacungan? Claudine came from Star Magic. Marvin Agustin came from star magic. Jolina Magdangal came from star magic. Piolo, heart etc. All said artists are still in the limelight.. although yung nasa gma nawala ang pagkabankable. Lahat ng magagaling galing star magic. Paki sabi nga sakin kung sino ang sikat sa GMAAC? lols.

    may guapong bagong talent ang gma ini introduce sa Party Pilipinas kanina. Super bongga ang introduction sa kanya. siya ay si Benjamin Alvis, college graduate at ang gusto nyang makapareha si Marian. Nadagdagan na naman ang tinik ng dos.

    Star Magic 1 was led by the late Rico Yan..... Claudine Barretto was once the reyna of Star Magic. She was called the Optimum Star. Sayang at di na-sustain.

    Agree with you,mrsenchong,they simply let go of Claudine becoz attitude is most important to them,no doubt Claudine has been a big star but also a big cross on their shoulder and Star Magic grew tired of doing damage control for every mess she did.for the record,on this issue of Yes mag,ms.mariole alberto hinted that Claudine wanted to come back,she didn't elaborate but you can read between the lines that they didn't choose to accept her again.and Mr.M,who was once a father to her had nothing to do with this bratty immature girl as he refused her call on his birthday,quoting what he said " has more important things to do".so sad turnout for her who has everything before but simply didn't know how to keep her feet on the ground and yes,where is Claudine now

    dati ng kapamilya si Coco Martin... part sya ng Star Magic batch 9. I heard dpat kasama sa batch daw na ito si Angel Locsin kaso di nakapirma. Sarah G was part of Ang TV nung bata pa lang sya.

    Star Magic talents are the bests in the Philippines., iba talaga ang mga trainings and makikita mo ang improvement nila not only in one aspect but they are eager to show their versatility and that what makes them unique from any other artists in the industry., moreover, all Kapamilya stars are given the chance para magkaroon sila ng break., divided ang roles., hindi pareha sa ibang networks na paulit.ulit na lang and nakakasawa na talaga., minsan hindi pa magaling., pilit at pigil ang pag.act or anything...kodus Kapamilya! you are no. 1 dito sa leyte province...
