Eric Quizon on why his dad Dolphy has to go through another medical procedure: "The reason kasi why the whole family opted sa tracheostomy nga dahil alam naming makaka-relieve ito sa discomfort na nararamdaman ng daddy ko.

"Kumbaga, lahat ng kanyang ano… parang may slight improvement but more on improvement than the other days.

“Although these past few days, he’s been very stable, nagiging stable, kaya kaming pamilya niya, natutuwa rin.

“So, like I said earlier, my dad underwent a procedure and it’s called tracheostomy.

"And it’s a surgical incision where they had to cut in or put an incision here, in his trachea," pagtukoy niya sa may lalamunan.

“At siyempre, when he went to the operation last night [June 23] at around 10 o’clock, medyo kinakabahan kami.

“Pero after 30, 45 minutes, lumabas na ang mga doctor at sinabi nilang the procedure went well and he’s responding well.

“Last night, yun nga, nag-improve. Ang pinaka-noticeable na nag-improve talaga, his heart rate and he’s BP [blood pressure].

“Although, may time talaga na bumababa, nagpa-fluctuate, pero not that frequent.

REUNION. It is about time for the likes of Pilar Pilapil, Lotis Key, Pamela Ponti, Alma Moreno, Angel, na bumisita at magpatawad at humingi ng tawad para sa ikatitiwasay ng katauhan ni Mang Dolphy sa kanyang bagong lakbayin.

It happened to my aunt long time ago. In Mang Dolphy's case sana nga bumuti na tlga lagay nya.

PROLONGING THE SUFFERING.

I hope that the trach tube will help ease his breathing difficulty. A treatment that I use for my patients who has end stage COPD is the IPV treatment. I'm not sure if that's available in the Philippines. If not, I believe they can order that here from the US.
