CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper: "The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be..."

Anderson Cooper: "I've always believed that who a reporter votes for, what religion they are, who they love, should not be something they have to discuss publicly. As long as a journalist shows fairness and honesty in his or her work, their private life shouldn't matter. I’ve stuck to those principles for my entire professional career, even when I’ve been directly asked 'the gay question,' which happens occasionally."

"In my opinion, the ability to love another person is one of God’s greatest gifts, and I thank God every day for enabling me to give and share love with the people in my life.

"I appreciate your asking me to weigh in on this, and I would be happy for you to share my thoughts with your readers.

"I still consider myself a reserved person and I hope this doesn’t mean an end to a small amount of personal space.

    sana yung ibang gays tumulad sa kanya, decente pa rin kumilos at magsalita...I have nothing against gays, pero yung iba minsa sobra naman ng wild at wala na sa lugar....parang totoong guys, syempre nakakabastos naman pag sobrang magugulo na, or pag mga babae sobrang mahaharot...ganun din ang gays, pag sobrang wild and loud naman di na nakakatuwa....ok lang yung masaya...pero nagwawala na. di na ok.

    I don't care if you are gay or not, I still have a great admiration on you. Sexual orientation shouldn't be an issue in today's world. As long as you're performing your job well, I don't think, it diminishes your credibility. Hats off to you Anderson Cooper.

    TRUTH be told, nobody really cares whether one is gay or not... it only becomes an issue if and when other people are dragged into someone's life just to cover up his or her homosexuality... there are people who play gay roles so perfectly, but theyre not really gay... and there are people who will NOT play gay roles bcoz of the fear that their real self will come out...

    This is a valid point. This is one of the reasons why I thought he's not very vocal about his sexual orientation. He goes to really dangerous places, the kind of and places that are not very open to liberal ideas, medyo delikado talaga.

    TRYING TO BLEND. It is really up to the individual whether he or she will keep on trying to blend in, and be in the closet in the process. Hayzzzz, ano kaya naman ang masasabi ng mga ABS CBN stars na sina ERIK S, Christian B, Sam M, etc etc etc etc. The interesting point is that Daniel P seems to be displaying the same behaviour as his then uncle now auntie Rustom Padilla. WELL, what else is new, it must be a THING at ABS CBN! Something in the AIR sa network ng DOS!

    whether paolo ballesteros is gay or not, at least he's happy with his own skin... hindi sya naninigas para itago ang katotohanan... di naman kailangan talaga umamin eh, pero MAGPAKATOTOO... wag gumamit ng kung sino-sino para pagtakpan ang mga lihim ng kasarian mo...
