Suspended PBA player Don Allado has wife Maricar de Mesa’s full support

Maricar de Mesa refused to comment on the issue but expressed her support for husband Don Allado, who was fined 500,000 pesos and suspended for one conference because of his allegations of game-fixing in the PBA through Twitter last Wednesday night.

Actress Maricar de Mesa has her full support for husband Don Allado of Barako Bull, after he was fined half a million pesos and suspended for an entire conference by the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), Thursday.

The penalties were administered in response to Allado's tweets Wednesday night, July 4, creating a buzz on the microblogging site, accusing the league of being rigged.

Among his controversial tweets from his official Twitter account @alofotDON which stunned his followers:

“I'm the guy that says what others can't. #PBA games are fixed. They control who is in & who is out. It's a disgrace to be in this league.”

Allado deleted his tweets a few hours later but not before his name became a trending topic locally on Twitter.

He retracted his statements and made an apology.

Part of his remorseful tweets to the PBA went:

“I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to Comm Salud & entire PBA for last night's tweets that's now a subject of controversy.

“It was an error in judgement on my part to let my passion for this game get the best of me. As a professional I should've known better.”

PBA Commissioner Chito Salud immediately called for a press conference the following day, July 5, in which the said sanctions were given to Allado.

The veteran player’s wife, Maricar de Mesa, refused to comment on the issue but stated that her husband has her full support.

Her full text message to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on Friday, July 6, is as follows:

“I cannot comment on the matter but my husband has my full support. Thank you.”

If there is game fixing and the game itself is rigged, then you should stick to your word. Ang kulang sayo wala kang paninindigan. Now kung hindi ka sigurado sa sinasabi mo then perhaps you did, Think Before You Act....

OMG meron pa pa lang PBA? anyway dapat kase ALLADO para wala kang fines na 500K at suspended pa., dapat iho ginawa mo sabihin mo na HACK na lang., yan kase ginagawa ng mga artista ngayon.

I think the penalty is too stiff. 500k and one conference suspension? Does he have children to feed? That's literally taking food from their mouths. Lessons learned but Allado should not be metted such a stiif fine. I am no fan of his but I am worried about his family and career.

Allado, kung kaya mo namang panindigan about game fixing eh panindigan mo. No apologies needed kung totoo. Kasi kahit saan not only in the Philippines there are issues of game fixing kaya lang yung mga involved MARUNONG MAGTAGO, HINDI NAGPAPAHULI. But sometimes those involved too are very talkative and flaunt about it. Kaya lang denial sila later on. So malas lang kung di mo mapanindigan while it is true.

Ayan kase, padalus dalos agad. Tweeter agad parang si Ropa. Dapat mag think muna bago magtweet, like me, before I say here sa PEP , nireresearch ko muna para sure lahat na correct like spellings, gramars, etc. lesson learned.. google before you tweet , yan sekrito ko.

TRUE. may secretaries tlaga ako. at pareho silang may iPhone 4s kagaya ko, kase gusto ko, yun secretaries ko, worldclass din. at favorite din nila ang Worldcalss ABS-CBN. One time nagsurvey ako sa mga secretaries ko kung ano tlaga gusto nila panoorin, and 100 percent sa kanila nanonood ng WC ABS-CBN, ibig sabihin, 2 out of 2 secretaries ko ay worldclass at may taste. Sinabi ko pa nga sa kanila na may race sila sa salary kung manood sila ng GMA7, eh, ayaw tlaga...

I'm sure ikakatuwa ng mga imaginary secretaries mo ang pagbibigay mo ng RACE sa kanilang salary.....lol. Pwede na silang bumili ng kanilang IMAGINARY IPHONE 4S na pwedeng mag-provide ng tamang spelling at grammar at saka baka regaluhan ka pa nila ng COMMON SENSE pagdating ng kapaskuhan.
