Since Albie is a very controversial showbiz personality, how does Dawn deal with the intrigues that come his way?
“I’m just trying to be there for him and support him. I try to understand what’s happening around him.”
Is she bothered by negative comments given by people about Albie?
“Konti but I guess, I just have to accept that,” she said candidly.
What if some people say she's the reason Albie and Andi broke up?
“Hindi naman po ako ang reason kung bakit sila naghiwalay. I have no idea kung anong rason kung bakit sila naghiwalay. I wasn’t in the picture,” she stressed.
Dawn was previously seen in ABS-CBN’s Parekoy where she was cast as the leading lady of John Prats.
She started as a TV and print commercial model in 2009. She also became known as one of the 10 finalists in the 2010 MTV Asia VJ Hunt.
Dawn is currently a 3rdyear college student of Culinary Arts at the De La Salle University College of St. Benilde.
RAPE SCENE IN THE ANIMALS. Dawn and Albie became close while doing the Cinemalaya entry The Animals. Directed by Gino Santos, this film is about spoiled rich kids whose lives are changed forever during a high school party.
The film chronicles a day in the life of Jake (Albie Casiño), Trina (Dawn Balagot), and Alex (Patrick Sugui, former Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash Of 2010 housemate).
“Ang dami kong first time na ginawa dito. It’s quite an experience,” she said.
In the story, her character Trina falls victim to a violent act in the movie.
“It was really scary. Feeling ko na-traumatize ako after. Parang na-rape talaga ako!
“Actually sobrang galing ni Direk Gino kasi what he did was hindi niya sa akin pinakilala kung sino ang rapist ko until the time na magsu-shoot kami. Sobrang tinakot talaga ako.”
