“E, na-disrupt yung schedule. So, Sharon had to wait for me.

“And because Sharon has waited for me, pati yung ibang movies niya nadale. And that was when I said, ‘No more.’

“And the last thing I did was Hataw Na. After Hataw Na, I stopped. And then I continued on doing tours, records, and all that, and do my own thing.” 

Ngayong na-delay din ang pagpapalabas ng I Do Bidoo Bidoo, ano naman ang naapektuhan?

“Well, for me, nothing naman was affected. Muntik na.

“But the movie would have been affected because pumasok na yung X-Factor. And X-Factor is 100 percent involvement into the lives of the artists.

“Buti na lang pumasok siya, patapos na kami dito. And then, of course, we understand naman what happened with Zsa Zsa and Tito Dolphy and all.

“It was good to see everybody really understand where we’re at. And Uge [Eugene] has to push her schedule, Ogie did the same, and I did the same.

“But if this went on, like, until October, then that will have to be a totally different story kasi I’ll be leaving na for tours abroad, e. And I also plan to do a bar tour and a Philippine tour also.”

WORKING WITH THE CAST. Pero nang malaman daw ni Gary ang istorya ng I Do Bidoo Bidoo, nakumbinsi siyang gawin ito dahil napakagandang proyekto.

Lalo na raw at bahagi ng pelikula ang tribute sa musika ng isa sa mga haligi ng OPM, ang Apo Hiking Society, o APO.

Malaking factor din daw na ang katrabaho niya sa pelikula ay sina Ogie, Zsa Zsa, at Eugene.

“Noong sabihin sa akin na musical yung project, sabi ko okey. Pero sabi ko, dapat hindi lang ito basta musical lang. And then they said the music of APO, that was the first thing that attracted me to do the project.

“Nung tanungin ko kung sino makakasama ko, then they mentioned the names of the artists, and I said, ‘Wow!’ I’m truly blessed na nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon to work with these artists.

“Like with Zsa Zsa, we often sing together sa ASAP, but we also act and sing together, which people don’t often see.
