John Lloyd Cruz and Angelica Panganiban walk the red carpet separately at the 6th Star Magic Ball

Actors John Lloyd Cruz and Angelica Panganiban both turned up without dates at the 6th Star Magic Ball held Saturday night, September 1, at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. The two, rumored to be dating each other these days, attended last year’s ball with former off-screen lovers—John Lloyd with co-Star Magic talent Shaina Magdayao and Angelica with now TV-5 talent Derek Ramsay.

Nang tanungin pa kung sino sa mga kaibigan niya sa Star Magic ang gusto niyang maka-bonding sa gabing iyon, tugon ni Angelica: “Wala naman, kasi lagi ko namang kasama yung mga friends ko.”

Noong nakaraang taon, sa ika-limang Star Magic Ball, parehong may ka-date pang iba sina Angelica at John Lloyd.

Kasama noon ni John Lloyd ang ex-girlfriend na ngayong si Shaina Magdayao at si Angelica naman ay ang ex-boyfriend na nitong si Derek Ramsay.

Talent na ngayon ng TV5 si Derek, habang si Shaina naman ay solo ring dumating sa pagdiriwang.

Samantala, ayon sa isang guest na naroon, nang nasa loob na ng dining hall, malinaw na sina John Lloyd at Angelica ang magka-date.

Teorya ng guest, iniwasan lang marahil ng dalawa na makitang magkasama sa red carpet dahil doon nakapuwesto ang mga reporters at photographers. 

Marami namang guests ang nakakita na magkahawa-kamay na lumabas ng Rizal Ballroom sina John Lloyd at Angelica pagkatapos ng pagdiriwang.

    Tama nga is JL,kasi masyado kayong nag papaniwala sa media. Now those haters are saying na what they had watched/read because JL has a personal problem coz of his drinking habits and using woman. Common, he has been professional on his career. Susme, nagpapaniwala kayo masyado and daming artista dyan walang career partying all week as if, hangin out with non filipinos crowd. Feeling sikat, thus the media talks bout them? No coz di sila sikat.

    Ang daming judgmental dito. ANo ba pakialam niyo kung ano man gawin nila in their private time? Kesehodang uminom si JLC o lapitin siya ng babae, wala kayong right na husgahan siya. ANg se-self righteous niyo, JUSME! Kasama niya ba kayo 24-7 para masabi niyo na may problema siya? Artista si JOhn Lloyd and he is one helluva an actor. He does it well and he does it right. Hindi siya nali-late, hindi nambibitin ng trabaho, dumadating sa schedule, alam na ang lines, alam ang gagawin at hindi namemerwisyo ng iba. Kumikita ng maayos, napakacharitable, napakabait sa pamilya. Tantanan niyo siya. Kaloka kayo. Di kayo ang nanay niya.

    winged_angel ang sakit monaman mgsalita, ikaw nman ang OA mosa reaction moha, ikaw ata ang judgemental, if uv 4goten JLC is a publik property at karapatan ng publik na mgbigay ng opinon bout him, mgpasalamat ngaza pinag-uuzapan paza, matakot za pg wala ng pumapansin saknya khit mglupasay za sa kalye...galit pza samga ngbibigay ng opinion esino ba ng-umpisa ng mapag-uusapan kundi cla din...gnyan nman mga artista pg sikat na lumalaki mga ulo, akala mo mga UNTOUCHABLES na...o cge wala nakming pakialam khit ano gawin nya pero atleast kmi ng iba concern pakami sa drinking problem nya e ikaw fan knya pero wala kng pakialam sknya...OK given nalahat ng papurimo sknya pero deep inside kya masaya za?

    True. Not being judgemental here but in order for him to find the right person who will really make him happy eh he has to undergo rehabilitation/treatment first. Kung may problema sya oh well yun muna asikasuhin nya. Pag na resolve na nya mga problems nya sa buhay everything will be ok. He told Boy A that he is a very difficult person to work with or maybe to be with tingnan nalang mga past relationships nya. Sa kanya na mismo nanggaling. Tsssk

    RUDE. Nilaktawan at iniwasan pala ni JLC ang mga reporters sa Star Magic Balls para makaiwas sa interview. It was so RUDe of him, not saying hello and how are you to showbiz writers who is also part of the industry he is in. So rude of JLC.

    Kalerks. Mag "how are you?" Hahaha BrunoEsmeralda hindi leisurely walk ang red carpet. Kung titigil ka ng matagal para makipagchikahan, magkakatraffic. Ang daming reporters, the artists especially someone as huge as JLC, attract a lot of the reporters and he can't entertain them all. Lumabas ka paminsan minsan sa kweba teh. Pumunta ka sa mga social events para naman mamulat ka sa real world.

    bagay naman itong dalawang ito si Angelica ayaw mababakante sa lalaki, si John lloyd naman babaero numero uno, bagay lang kayo for sure madali rin matatapos ang relasyon na ito, kasi para silang nagpapalit ng damit kapag nagpapalit ng karelasyon e mga bad example kayong dalawa

    Hoy swanlakegirl, inggitera ka. Huwag kang imbento. Hindi ganiyan si Angelica. ANg daming nanligaw sa kaniya na hindi niya pinatulan kabilang na dun si Jake Cuenca and Wesley Gonzales, both of whom admit to still admiring her to this day. Nakadalawang bf pa lang si Angel. Galawgaw lang kumilos si Angel pero matino siya. Meron nga diyang mga pasweet-sweet pero ang daming ng nagiging bf nagpapa-abort pa yung iba. Si Angelica hindi mahilig sa fling fling.

    Hay naku, mga pangit na walang pera wala career babaero nga eh, so big deal? Susme, kasi yung mga ibang babae needed to be reminded its 2012, wag kayong pakicgurado na kayo lang mamahalin ng lalaki nyo. Ang sasama nyo, would you rather want Angelica to be with Derek? Anu yun forever 2nd woman lng.The man she has been loving for years has been married, eh anu yun? Do you guys think okay lang sa kanya yun? They don't owe the public an explanation.     3 months on pa lang a relationship ni JLC at Angelica so wala pa silang masyadong masasabi dahil very few ang shared special moments nila in compared to what Angelica and Derek had which was 6 years. Having said that I think John Lloyd has personal issues he needs to deal with before jumping from one relationship to the next. Parang he just uses the latest girl he is with to cover up whatever is eating him inside. The period of high or in love quickly goes away for him hence he can't stay in a relationship for long. Because of this, I predict this relationship will last 1 year max.

    I say, John Lloyd Cruz should acknowledge his behavior problem prior to getting involve or the outcome will be the same over and over again. Not only he has personal issues but psychological issues as well. Look at him. The man is almost thirty years old but is totally lost and has too many baggage. He can have as many relationship he wants but he will never stick to one. He will treat women like a rug. When it's old, it gets thrown out. Fortunately, Shaina Magdayao made a wise decision of ditching him. Shaina came into conclusion that the man is not worth having because of his behavior. He is used to having a fling with older woman. Maybe that's what he needs.

    It's alright pearl102. Shaina Magdayao is a strong woman. She claimed she's moving on but you know she's only human, she has feelings and in time the heartache will mend. No man or woman will quickly recover from broken relationship except for John Lloyd Cruz and Angelica Panganiban.

    pearl102 I think JLC's comment about the lack of happiness says more about him as a sad person that he is than a critic on Shaina or their past relationship. Kudos to Shaina for showing nothing but grace and dignity in the wake of their failed relationship.

    John Lloyd Cruz wants to know what people know about him for them to come up with such opinion about his life? He also added, people as if they know what he has been through and people’s opinion only irritates him. He wants people to be reminded to slow down with their opinion and people are quick to judge. Well, John Lloyd Cruz in case you have forgotten, you are a public figure. Some of us base our opinion according to your past interviews, most current interviews and your behavior towards women. Also, the people you are referring to are people who contributed to your success: watch your movies, teleserye and so forth. Without them, you would be nothing. And please, if you watch yourself during interviews you sound like a broken record in terms of relationships. You create your own monster.

    agree! JLC preys on women when they are most vulnerable so he gets them easily! In his own words he said hindi niya kayang mag-isa, wala siyang kaibigan except the person he is with - big red flags!! Men like him have to be charmers, generous, so they can get the girls easily as they can't be alone. And angelica just jumped from one relationship to the next without using her head! hope it's really love and not a need.

I did try my best in translating John Lloyd Cruz's statement to English, making sure I am not adding words that were not stated during the interview with Boy Abunda. I can understand Tagalog but not fluent in writing. English is quicker for me. So what you see is what you get.

    Yup, JLC is a public figure, but it does not mean na may karapatan ka na para halukayin ang buhay niya at lalong lalo na ang HUSGAHAN siya.2Curious , alam mo ang dapat na tawag sa u at sa mga nakikialam ng buhay ng may buhay ay TSISMOSA! I enjoyed watching his films, shows because undeniably he's a good actor. PERIOD!

    I've watched the buzz segment on star magic ball. and it irks me that JLC keep on saying to the media to respect their privacy etc..etc..and obviously he really is uncomfortable answering all the questions the media is throwing at him but WHY KEEP ON ANSWERING? i mean if you really don't want to talk about it, he could just EASILY SAY "That will be all for now" THEN GRACEFULLY WALK AWAY. But the poor dear just keep on answering questions after questions after questions and then in the end SYA RIN ANG NAPIPIKON! nubayan! IF YOU don't want people to talk about it, then don't say anything. simple!
