Filipina-American WBO (World Boxing Organization) Superbantamweight boxing champion Ana 'The Hurricane' Julaton returned to the country last week to promote her upcoming fight against Latina boxer, mma (mixed martial arts) fighter and fitness model Francesca Alcanter. They had a press conference at a restaurant in Quezon City last January 27.
The fight will happen at the Craneway Pavilion in Point Richmond, California, U.S.A. It will be aired on February 26 over on TV5 and the soon-to-air Aksyon TV UHF Channel 41.
Ana is coached by Freddie Roach, the same man behind current WBC (World Boxing Council) Super Welterweight World Champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. She is just one of three Pinoy world boxing champions, the others being Pacquiao and WBO Minimumweight World Champion Donnie Nietes.
Ana described why she chose boxing as her sport and profession. She was also game enough to give answers to queries about her love life.
