American Idol Season 11 2nd runner up Jessica Sanchez appeared on the U.S. TV show Live! with Kelly show on May 29, Tuesday.
The show's host, Kelly Ripa sounded like a fan girl when she introduced the 16-year-old Pinay-Mexican-American: "She might have finished second, but she definitely placed first in my heart during this season's American Idol competition. Please welcome, the lovely Jessica Sanchez."
Jessica chatted briefly with Kelly and her guest co-host Ed Robinson of the Bare Naked Ladies and talked about the teenager's American Idol experience.
"It was a big whirlwind, pretty much I mean, it still is. I'm busy as heck. It's crazy and every single day, we have something new to do.
"I don't regret anything because I made it to the top two," Sanchez said.
Among the prizes Jessica won was a brand new car. Unfortunately, the teenager has yet to drive her prize by herself.
"I can't drive," the Califorina-native admitted.
"You know, my mom tried to teach me one time and I pushed on the pedal, and she was like, 'Get out of the car,'" Jessica giggled.
Kelly offered to teach Jessica how to drive in exchange of voice lessons.
"I'm a terrible driver, but I'll happily give you a lesson, if you wanna learn how to drive...and then you can give me a voice lesson, and it'll be so nice," Kelly offered.
After breaking into a commercial, Jessica performed Whitney Houston's hit "I Will Always Love You."
After her performance, Jessica again received more words of admiration from Kelly: "How did you not win? I mean, you really are, you are so spectacular. Your voice is just on another level."
