Transformers star Shia LaBeouf appears in a new music video that has everyone buzzing.
Icelandic band Sigur Ros gave 12 directors a $10,000 film budget to shoot a video inspired by the music on their new album, Valtari.
Israeli filmmaker and Tribeca Film Festival Best Documentary director Alma Har'el decided to cast Shia and actress Denna Thomsen in a video for one of the band's instrumental songs called "Fjogur Piano," where they play a couple caught up in a "destructive spiral, possibly revolving around drug addiction, lovesick co-dependence, or both."
Shia, who now sports a rugged look--unshaven with long hair, is seen dancing with his lover and trashing a bedroom, with a lot of crying, violence, and dead butterflies dispersed throughout the entire 8 minute video.
Har'el told The Wall Street Journal that the full frontal nudity was not something the team had discussed prior to shooting, but rather, something that came up while they were in the middle of the 5-day shoot.
She described the nude scenes as artistic rather than exploitative, saying they're, "erotic, but it's not selling anything."
