Legendary musician and Beatles co-founder John Lennon appeared on a big screen while singing his iconic 1971 hit "Imagine" in front of 80,000 plus attendees of the 2012 London Summer Olympics closing ceremony, held at the London Olympic Park Stadium on August 12 (August 13 in Philippine time).

Lennon, who was killed by a crazed fan in 1980, was shown in a remastered music video of his song courtesy of his widow Yoko Ono. A choir of about 100 pe0ple sang with Lennon, made up of singers from the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Choir and Liverpool Signing Choir. Lennon was born in London.
