Chris Cayzer makes it to the X Factor Australia 2012

SOP's Chris Cayzer came back to Australia where he was born and raised to take a shot for a spot at X Factor Australia.

On the show, Chris says he spent 6 years in the Philippines and tried showbiz (acting and singing). He says the Philippines served as his "training ground."

During his Monday (August 27) audition on the show, he impressed X Factor judges Melanie Brown of the Spice Girls, Ronan Keating of Boyzone, first Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian, and Australian singer-actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

Chris sang Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles" which drew cheers from the female dominated audience and a standing ovation from Melanie.

Melanie, Ronan, and Natalie were impressed, but Guy thought Chris should "grow up a lot."

In the end, Chris got three "Yes's" from Melanie, Ronan, and Natalie, and a "no" from Guy.
