Although he did not win in the third season of Celebrity Duets, Brazilian-Japanese model Akihiro Sato maintains his support for Gawad Kalinga.
He’s always been a supporter of this organization that builds homes for Filipino communities in need. It’s his way of returning the warmth and kindness he received ever since basing himself here in the Philippines.
“I like it here. The people are very friendly and I love helping others through charity work. Gawad Kalinga has opened my mind to a lot of things and I have become a better person through it,” says the Brazilian-Japanese model.

“As a model, I need to stay in good shape. I spend two hours in the gym for four days a week, I go boxing, and I also train in jujitsu. To complement my daily exercise routine, I eat healthy salads and stick to a high-protein diet,” he shares. A thrill-seeker by heart, Akihiro also enjoys adrenaline-pumping activities like bungee jumping, wall climbing, combat sports, surfing, and having fun at the beach.
