La Lola star Rhian Ramos celebrated her 18th birthday last October 3 at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Manila Peninsula hotel in Makati City. The party was specially prepared by GMA-7 to introduce Rhian as one of its hottest assets and to signify her formal entry into womanhood.

Rhian personally chose La Lola co-star JC de Vera to be her escort for the special event. Why him? Rhian said: "Because we're going through something together. Parang pumapasok kami sa isang bagay na exciting, pero nakakatakot, and we're going through it together. ‘Tsaka siguro the growing up part because he's been so good in helping me out to this whole La Lola thing. Gusto ko also na samahan niya din ako sa growing-up-together thing."
