Local celebrities joined the sports event called "One Last Shot for Daboy" held at the Marikina Sports Complex last Saturday, October 18. This was organized to pay tribute to the late actor Rudy Fernandez.

After seeing some of the kids playing soccer at
the Marikina Sports Park, Gabby Concepcion joined them and showed off his own soccer skills.
Actor Tirso Cruz III acted as the sports commissioner during
the "One Last Shot for Daboy" last Saturday, October 18, at the
Marikina Sports Park.
The game, Tirso said, aimed to continue the annual
Star Olympics that his close friend, late actor Rudy Fernandez, started when he
became the president of the Actors Guild.
Senator Bong Revilla arrived in the middle of the day to give
assistance in the ongoing celebrity sports event. Aside from spearheading this
event, he also manages the yellow team, one of the four teams during the event.
"Basta nandito lang ako, kasi wala dito si Jinggoy at
si Ipe [Philip Salvador] kaya, heto, ako ang masakit ang ulo," he tells PEP
(Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview.
Rudy Fernandez's widow, Lorna Tolentino, updates
the newly arrived Senator Bong Revilla about the event. Beside Senator Bong is
Ralphe, Rudy's eldest son with Lorna .
Former actor Hans Montenegro and celebrity dance
instructor Maribeth Bichara were very competitive as they played on the final
round of mix-doubles category of the badminton competition.
The team of Wings White—which include William Martinez,
Maribeth Bichara, Ricardo Cepeda, and Hans Montenegro—bags the Best in Mix
Doubles, Best in Women's Doubles and Best in Men's Doubles.
They were given a bag and a badminton racquets
by Prince, one of the official sponsors of
"One Last Shot for Daboy."

Despite her busy schedule as a politician, Gov. Vilma says that she's still very open to give help to the industry that gave her fame. She adds, "Nakikita naman natin ang samahan ng mga
industriya. At ako kahit sabihin natin gobernador ako, nandidito pa rin ako
para sa industriyang ito."
