After one year-and-a-half absence, the Queen of Talk Kris Aquino came back to ABS-CBN's
showbiz talk show The Buzz last Sunday, October 26. This momentous event coincided with the
birthday celebration of her close friend and co-host Boy Abunda, and so she tagged
along her sons, Josh and Baby James.
The Buzz co-host Ruffa Gutierrez also brought her daughters,
Lorîn and Venice. Their costumes were
inspired by Walt Disney Princesses—Ruffa imitated Princess Jasmine of Aladdin,
Lorîn was Princess Aurora of Sleeping Beauty, and Venice was the
title character of Disney's adaptation of Chinese legend Mulan.
Kris Aquino and Ruffa Gutierrez give their birthday wishes
to Boy Abunda. Kris even wrote a letter to Boy, affirming how strong their friendship is and how similar they are
when it comes to loving their respective mothers.
In her letter, Kris wrote, ""We love our moms so
much and we are just so blessed that we still have them in our lives because we
have both faced the possibility of losing them but we held on to our faith in
God."
In an interview with Kris, she admitted that she
can never be a perfect wife, but only because she's not a morning person. She can't wake up early everyday to prepare breakfast
for her husband, basketball player James Yap. Does that make her less of a doting mom? The photo says it all.
Here Boy Abunda carries Kris Aquino's
second child Baby James during a break. In one of the
segments of The Buzz, the returning TV host said to her co-host,
"Nandito ako, pinayagan ako ni James dahil sa'yo at alam mo 'yan."
Gabby Concepcion was the first celebrity to take the hot seat in The Buzz's newest segment called The Tough Ten
Questions. Before the interview, the
Phoemela Baranda led the returning actor into an enclosed room so that he would
not hear the questions prepared for him.
Kris looked very excited in interviewing a
celebrity once again for The Buzz. Before delivering her question to Gabby Concepcion, she exclaimed,
"It took me one year and six months before I ask this question, ha!"
Ruffa Gutierrez interviews My Only U
actors, Toni Gonzaga and Vhong Navarro, about the pressure they felt while
doing the movie. Both actors agree that
there's a pressure because the past movies of Star Cinema were all
successful.
Ruffa welcomed the return of Kris Aquino to The Buzz, and Kris thanked her profusely. "Thank you, Ruffa, for letting me be here with
you. Pinasa ko na talaga ito sa'yo pero
maraming salamat na hindi ka rin nag-atubili na sabihin sa akin na I'm also
welcome."
Last week, PEP reported the class suit
that was filed by actresses Ara Mina, Maui Taylor, Aubrey Miles and
entertainment columnist Aster Amoyo against talent manager Rose
Flaminiano. In The Buzz, Aster
(left) and Ara (middle) were interviewed by Kris to explain their reasons for filing the case.
Boy Abunda became emotional on seeing his Nanay giving him a birthday message in a taped interview. He almost cried when he reaffirmed his promise
to his late Tatay, "I will take care of Nanay."
