The first laboratory featured a makeup demo, with Lala Flores applying Avon's green palette eye shadow on Angel Locsin's eyelids. 

The expert makeup artist personally chose the color because Avon's theme this summer has something to do with nature. "It's going back to nature, so here, you can see a beautiful collection of green," she said.

Angel said she likes Avon's palletes because it's a compact makeup. She related, "Gusto ko sa palette, kasama siya sa maliit na bag. Hindi ko na kailangan magdala pa ng maraming makeup para magawa ang face niyo, di ba?"

Lala Flores carefully working magic on the eyes of the Kapamilya star to achieve that "innocent look." 

 

"You can experiment with colors," said Ms. Lala while applying the eye shadow on Angel's eyelids.  "Now, we're gonna show how you can look beautiful in summer without looking so heavily done."

For the evening look, she put a finishing stroke at the end of Angel's eyelids using the darkest color. Lala explained, "Just make a triangle towards the end. Then spread it out." This technique also applies to "smoky effect" and "cat's eye."

Ms. Lala finished the session by applying coral-colored lipstick on Angel's lips.

The overall effect: "fresh and glowing."

The second laboratory featured celebrities Nikki Gil and Luis Manzano (in white lab gowns).

The two new endorsers helped Barbs Aguirre (right), Avon's Southeast Asia Cluster Category Head for Fragrance, in demonstrating the mix-and-magic of their new fragrance Just Play.

Angel is the brand bearer of the scent called Wish. Her boyfriend Luis and Nikki will represent its new perfume, Just Play.

TV host-model Angel Aquino was one of the "Breakthrough Laboratory" tour guides.
