The mother-daughter tandem of Maxene and Pia Magalona will be seen on television starting May 10, Mother's Day.

Campaigns and Grey was commissioned to create the infommercial on preventing cervical cancer, the second most common cancer in women worldwide—with 500,000 new cases and 250,000 deaths reported each year.

Pia and Maxene readily accepted this advocacy project when the offer was made.
Maxene said: "Sana by us doing this, parang naituloy na rin naman yung gusto sanang
gawin din ni Papa—maging kami naman ang spokesperson for cervical
cancer."
Before Francis died, he wanted to become an advocate for the prevention and cure of leukemia.

Pia related to PEP how she teaches her kids—especially her daughters Unna, Maxene, Saab, and Clara—to become good parents.
Pia says about nurturing Maxene: "As a mother, parang all the ways that I can show
my love and my care to my daughter, I do that para siya rin, kapag may sarili
na siyang pamilya at anak, aalagaan niya rin nang ganun."

Maxene Magalona jumped at this opportunity of becoming a role model to the youth.
The 22-year-old actress said, " Gusto kong ipakita na kayang gumawa ng
difference ang kasing-age ko."

The TV commercial shoot was held at Visual Light Studio in Pasong Tamo, Makati, under the direction of Jun Carangal of Brew Productions.

During their dinner break, Maxene told PEP how proud she is of her Mommy Pia.
"A lot of people see her as a pillar of strength,
role model as a mother, ganyan, all around.
And natutuwa naman ako na parang sinusundan ko yung footsteps niya," beamed Maxene.

More than work, Maxene considered this TV commercial shoot bonding time with her Mommy Pia.
She said, "Very excited talaga ako na itong TVC, bonding
namin ni Mama—yung friendship namin, as well as relationship namin as mother
and daughter..."
