PART 3: Stars on Red Carpet at the 10th anniversary party of YES! Magazine
The 10th year celebration of YES! magazine at the NBC Tent in The Fort, Taguig City, turned into a big gathering of showbiz executives, talent managers, entertainment press, and stars.
They all made time for the party of the magazine, which has been chronicling the stories of their lives in and out of showbiz.
To quote Tirso Cruz, who was one of the night's hosts, "Most stars...Halos lahat tayo dito ay na-feature sa YES!"

GMA-7's big boss Atty. Felipe L. Gozon (middle) exchanged pleasantries with Summit Media's lady chief, Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng (right).
At the NBC Tent three years ago, also during the anniversary event of YES! Magazine, the two launched their first joint business venture: PEP, Inc.
And just like its print affiliate, which is presently the most widely-circulated magazine in the country, www.pep.ph is also the most widely-read showbiz website, generating an average of 24, 266, 274 page views per month.
Photographers and camera men rushed to capture this moment: Richard Gutierrez getting cozy again with the editor he previously sued for 25 million pesos, Jo-Ann Maglipon.
The other respondents in the said case, managing editor Karen Pagsolingan and Ferdinand Godinez were also present. The former managed to give the actor a firm handshake before Richard left.
Another hard-to-miss scene was the hug between Angel Locsin and Eddie Garcia, who was the actress's co-star in her last three TV series with GMA-7—Darna (2005), Majika (2006), and Asian Treasures (2007).
(Inset) The 24-year-old Kapamilya star also hugged GMA-7's senior program manager Redgie Acuña, who shed tears when Angel decided to leave Channel 7.
Eddie Garcia (left) surprised a happy YES! team by staying the longest among the stars
John Lloyd Cruz came at the last hour to fulfill a birthday promise to YES! editor Anna Pingol. He went straight back to his own post-premiere party for Miss You Like Crazy.
But before leaving, the Box-office King didn't miss this photo op with one of the country's greatest actors.
Ciara Sotto-Oconer with her still-shy husband Joe. The lovely lady told PEP, "I'm enjoying married life...Pero ang dami pa rin naming nadi-discover, adjustment period pa kasi."
Jed Madela (right) and Rhap Salazar didn't look nervous at all while preparing for their solo and duet numbers that evening.
Both won in the WCOPA (World Championship of Performing Arts. Jed brought home 10 awards—six of which are gold—in 2005, and his junior version Rhap bagged two awards in 2009.
With their powerful performance, the all-girl trio of La Diva—composed of (from left) Aicelle Santos, Maricris Garcia, and Jonalyn Viray—was undoubtedly the "Queen of the Night."
Bituin Escalante (not in photo) also had the audience gaping in awe with her version of Mariah Carey's "Hero."
A big smile from Jo-Ann Maglipon greeted Virgie Ramos, daughter-in-law of the owner of National Bookstore and owner of Gift Gate and the distribution rights of Swatch.
Her showbiz connection?
Aside from making Geneva Cruz and Mikee Cojuangco household names because of their Swatch commercials, Ms. Virgie was also the first manager of Kris Aquino.
Jo-Ann Maglipon (second from left) with the big bosses of Regal Films: Lily Monteverde (left), who—according to the onlookers—"hindi tumatanda"; Roselle Monteverde (second from right), looks very stylish in her mini-black dress; and Manny Valera, a talent manager and also a supervising producer.
The people who live and breathe showbiz just to feed the fans with scoops and updates about their favorite stars—(from left) Eugene Asis of People's Journal, Gie Trillana of Malaya, Walden Belen of Manila Bulletin, and Salve Asis of Pilipino Star Ngayon.
More friends from the entertainment press had fun partying while working—(from left) Startalk's Gorgy Rulla, "Star Patrol's" Mario Dumaual, columnist Lel Llanes with her sister, the famous Manay Ethel (a.k.a. Ethel Ramos), who's also the talent manager of Aga Muhlach, Charlene Gonzalez, and recently, Angel Locsin.
Maxene Magalona was another date-less gal that evening. But she ain't looking for love either, so the single guys could only stare at her fresh beauty.
Brazilian beauty Priscilla Meirelles made all heads turn, but sorry dudes, she's already engaged to actor John Estrada, who was absent that evening because of his taping for Agua Bendita—which is said to be in a rush to add several episodes to bank.
There's Miriam Quiambao, who recently transferred from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN, where she is set to play a contravida role in the TV series Agua Bendita.
The 1999 Miss Universe first runner-up rendered a song during the open mic session. "Gusto kong kantahin itong 'When I Fall In Love.' Ayan, maganda iyan..."
Just like most stars, Donita Rose's life has been documented by YES! magazine as well—her wedding to Eric Villarama in California (CLICK HERE), her flat in Singapore (CLICK HERE), and baby pictures of her son, PJ.
Tim Yap arrived bustling with energy, and after the event, he tweeted his "kudos" to the editorial team of YES! for mounting the "most star-studded event."
Indie film actor Marco Morales of Halik sa Tubig and the forthcoming Biyaheng Norte (both directed by Bong Ramos) arrived with Ricky Lee's group of early birds.
