In time for Hollywood's most anticipated Academy Awards, Velvet paid tribute to Oscar-winning movies by mounting a photo exhibit of local celebrities at the Ayala Museum in Makati City last Thursday, March 4.

Celebrity couple Billy Crawford and Nikki Gil said it was their first time to see the product of their photo shoot, where they portrayed Tony and Maria of the West Side Story, a 1950's musical that won 10 Oscar awards, including Best Picture and Best Director in 1961.

Jericho Rosales and Maricar Reyes for Casablanca (1942), the classic love story that starred Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.
This photo bagged the Best Transformation award, which was made possible by makeup artist RB Chanco.

Shaina Magdayao and Jericho Rosales posed like Hollywood actors Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty, who played the lead roles in the classic American crime movie Bonnie & Clyde (1967), which brought home Oscar trophies for Best Supporting Actress and Best Cinematography.
