Kapuso stars portray historical figures in GMA-7 version of the National Anthem
GMA-7 presents a cinematic version of the Philippine national anthem, "Lupang Hinirang," featuring the brightest Kapuso stars.
This new version retells Philippine history by dramatizing historical events, from Lapu-Lapu's victory over Magellan's troops in the Battle of Mactan to the Filipinos' peaceful revolt in pursuit of democracy in the 1986 People Power Revolution on Epifanio delos Santos Ave (EDSA).
