Here's a Fashion 101 session with Gretchen and Lucy, two of showbiz's best dressed celebrities.

-
The gorgeous Gretchen has a fashion philosophy: "I think one thing with fashion is that you don't have to be loyal to one thing, you're not married to it. I really just choose according to my mood."
In this photo, Gretchen is clad in a white shirt with ruffled collar detail, slim dark rinse Grab jeans, Rene Caovilla crystal, and a pair of satin sandals; earrings by Kristine's Jewelry.

Here, Gretchen is wearing a slim dark rinse Grab jeans and a sheer embroidered, see-through Victorian top, of which she says, "This is the romantic look that's uso today, until something comes along and it's replaced. Then it comes back and it's uso again".

Indeed, for the many Gretchen watchers, it's often an exciting guessing game: what will La Greta appear in next? One thing alone is certain. This femme fatale never disappoints. This time, she wears a satin cut-out or eyelet dress.

Gretchen's grooming is, again, left to Patrick Rosas. "I don't know how to fix my hair, e," she reasons. "So it's always just down or ponytailed. That's just it. Siyempre, if I go somewhere, then they always do my hair. So I have no problem. Even make-up, I don't know how to do makeup. It's always powder and lip gloss. I don't even put mascara. It's just curl lash."
Her blouse is by Emilio Pucci, jeans from Grab, and wedges by Louis Vuitton.

Gretchen admits that her mood for dressing up depends a great deal on where she's going or whom she's going to be with. "Siyempre, 'pag showbiz party, all of a sudden, natataranta ako," she reveals. The actress also adds that she doesn't want to look plain since everybody in showbiz is always glamorous and made up. But what if the occasion calls for meeting up with the friends of Tonyboy Cojuangco, her partner for the last 12 years? Does she come plainer? "Ahhh, no. I want to be the star," she said with a laugh.

When on a trip abroad, Lucy's shopping itinerary starts-and possibly ends-with visiting shoe stores. "The size of my feet is 9 to 10 inches, depende sa style...Hindi ako masyadong impulsive, e, when it comes to buying. Pero usually, 'pag shoes, hindi ko iniisip kasi alam kong hirap talaga akong bumili ng shoes, e. I don't like shoes that are not comfortable lalo na 'pag tago ýong paa. Merong shoes na mura nga, maganda namang tignan, pero pag pinasok mo paa mo, 'Oh my God.' Talagang magkaka-kalyo ang paa mo."

Lucy is someone whose look is often described, rightly so, as ethereal and unhurried. However, she herself doesn't think she has a trademark look. She says, "Basta gusto ko lang palagi soft dresses. 'Yong mga soft sa body, 'yong it falls softly. 'Tapos importante sa akin 'yong cut."
Here, the beautiful wife of Richard Gomez is wearing a strapless chiffon cocktail dress by Nora Lucia Dominguez matched with a pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes.

Though she looks like she doesn't really need it, Lucy is an advocate of dieting. She has been on South Beach diet for the last two years. The mestiza beauty asserts, "It's important talaga for the diet to become your lifestyle."

Lucy wears a latticework top, Bench Overhaul jeans, Sergio Rossi shoes; pearl bracelet, another heirloom passed down by her Lola Carmen. "It used to be a necklace," says Lucy. "'Pinagawa ko lang na ganito. 'Tapos, 'yong ibang diamonds na parang borlo-borloloy dito noon, ginawang pang-accessory doon sa isa kong hikaw." The hikaw she's referring to is a pair of chalcedony drop earings.

Lucy's halter gown here is her first Joe Salazar gown. It's only her second time to wear this, the first time being at an Urian awards rite. The late designer remains Lucy's top favorite. "Kasi pag nag-cut siya, perfect fit," she says. "Wala ka nang babaguhin."
She's so loves this yellow gown that she even had a replica made-the purple gown she wears on the April anniversary cover of YES! magazine. "Noong namatay si Joe e gusto ko pang magpagawa ng ganito. E, nandoon pa naman ýong cutter niya. So, sa mga natira na tela ni Joe, ginawan niya ako noong purple."
Lucy names four other designers on her list of favorites—Randy Ortiz, Joey Samson, Kate Torralba, Louis Claparols.
