Some of the VJs performed comedy sketches. In one skit, VJs Iya Villania, Luis Manzano, and Nikki Gil spoofed an episode of ABS-CBN's Mara Clara to introduce the next award presenters, Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes.

Kathryn and Julia are the stars of Mara Clara.

The viewers were surprised when young comedienne Kiray Celis went onstage instead of Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes.

Kiray, who plays a villain in Mara Clara, told the audience that the two young actresses were still held hostage (like in the teleserye) and she would present the award for Favorite Media Soundtrack in their place.

Pinoy boyband 3AM carried Kiray to the stage. The members of 3AM are (from left): Micael Caldito, James Torres, and Kyle Amor.

Kiray did not refuse a hug from musician-turned-actor Kean Cipriano, who won the award for Best Media Soundtrack for the song "Kaya Mo."

Kean Cipriano, Callalily frontman, received the award on behalf of Protein Shake, the band that recorded "Kaya Mo" for the movie RPG: Metanoia.

Kean (as well as Ney Dimaculangan of 6 Cycle Mind) did guest vocals for "Kaya Mo."

Yeng Constantino emerged onstage wearing a sexy number to receive her award for Favorite Song.

Yeng won the award for "Jeepney Love Story." She would make many outfit changes during the night; all her clothes were designed by Norman Noriega.

Musician brothers Yael (left) and Yanny Yuzon presented the award for Favorite MYX Live Performance.

Yael is the vocalist of Sponge Cola. Yanny, on the other hand, is a member of Pupil and Archipelago.

Slapshock won the award for Favorite MYX Live Performance. Vocalist Jamir Garcia (center) thanked fans for staying with them for 14 years.

"This award brings us back to the first day," he said.

Champ Lui-Pio, Hale frontman, received the award for Favorite Guest Appearance in a Music Video on behalf of actress Angel Locsin.

Angel appeared in the music video for Hale's "Magkaibang Mundo."

Queenie Padilla (left) and Empress Schuck presented the award for Favorite Remake.

Quest dedicated his award to the director of his music video, Dominic Nuesa.

Elmo Magalona presented the award for Favorite Mellow Video.

"Mahirap talagang ma-in love," he commented before presenting the nominees.

The winner of the Favorite Collaboration award is 6 Cycle Mind, Yeng Constantino, and Kean Cipriano.

The three artists collaborated on the song "Kung Wala Na Nga."

Kat Agarrado, Francis Brew, and Sarah Gaugler presented the award for Favorite Rock Video.

The winner is "Lakad" by Sandwich, who was not able to attend the event.

Ivan Dorshner and James Reid presented the award for Favorite International Video.

The winner is "Just The Way You Are" by Bruno Mars.

Comic duo Moymoy Palaboy and Philippine Cosplay Queen Alodia Gosiengfiao presented the award for Favorite K-Pop Video.

The winner is the music video of "Go Away" by 2ne1.
