After being a couple for a year and a half, Rachel Alejandro and Carlos Santamaria exchanged vows in an afternoon wedding ceremony in Boracay.

The two met through a date, planned by Rachel's sister Barni, which took place in a bar in Manila. The couple will spend their honeymoon in the Maldives. 

The groom, Carlos Santamaria, is photographed with his parents, who flew from Spain to attend the wedding held at the Shangri-La Resort in Boracay, Philippines. In a previous interview, Rachel revealed that they have plans to have a second wedding ceremony in Spain.

Hajji and Myrna's marriage ended when Rachel was four years old.

According to Rachel, Girlie is her second mother.

Carlos's family flew in from Spain to attend this memorable day.

Rachel got the chance to meet them only a few days before the wedding.

Rachel Alejandro and Carlos Santamaria have their first dance as husband and wife that night.

According to the couple, there was no actual wedding proposal. They both reached a mutual decision to settle down when they were staying in Vietnam.

Rachel Alejandro took this opportunity to serenade her family members, relatives and friends who attended the intimate event.

Rachel is slated to portray Princess Amneris in the pop rock musical Aida.

The two recently collaborated for a Valentine concert at the Music Museum.
