AJ's female friends made sure to give their condolence to AJ's parents, Gerardo and Victoria, and younger brother Gelo.

His non-showbiz girlfriend was also at the wake near AJ's family. On Ogie Diaz's Twitter post, he said AJ's parents were  crying non-stop last night.

Young actor Matteo Guidicelli and director Don Cuaresma recalled their fondest memory of AJ during an interview. Both said, "Sobrang bait niya."

Matteo worked with AJ in the fantaserye Agua Bendita. Direk Don just finished working with the young actor in Sabel, which ended last March.

After their ASAP show in Cebu, Matteo recalled, "Pumunta talaga siya birthday ko sa bahay sa Cebu. He met my family, everybody."

AJ class adviser in La Salle Greenhills, Mr. Paul Vitus de Jesus, relates to the media how eager his student was to finish high school.

Mr. de Jesus recalled that while taping for Sabel last January and February,  AJ always made sure that he'd attend make-up classes and exams. "Siya pa nga ang naghahabol sa aming mga teachers para sa make-up activities niya." 

AJ graduated high school this year together with fellow Kapamilya star Albie Casiño (not in photo), who was also at the wake last night.
