Maroon 5 first visited the country in 2008. Adam recalled in an interview with a daily broadsheet, "The atmosphere of the city and the energy of the audience made it a great experience to play there, and we're very much looking forward to coming back."

The group arrived in the country a day before their concert at the SM Mall of Asia SMX Convention Center last May 23.

Through the social networking site Twitter, Maroon 5 fans were able to get updates from its frontman Adam Levine.

The night before the concert, Adam posted on his Twitter account the experience they had on their way to the hotel. He said, "Rainy and trafficky in Manila. But our incredible police escort is KILLING it. He's a bonafide traffic ninja...shake and bake!"

Adam also experienced the mild earthquake in Manila while they were staying at the hotel. He tweeted, "in Manila... there was definitely just an earthquake. not my favorite thing before i fall asleep in an extremely tall building."

On the day of their concert, Adam declared, "it's a lovely day in Manila. Tonight is gonna be a big one. #EXCITED!"

He also mentioned during the short meet-and-greet with the press that their "Hands All Over" concert in Manila is going to be "the greatest show of all time."

The group greeted the fans with their current hit "Misery" from their third album Hands All Over. They also performed other singles from the same album like "Give a Little More," and "Never Gonna Leave This Bed."

Avid fans screamed and sang along with Maroon 5 as they performed their all-time hits like "She Will Be Loved," "This Love," "Wake Up Call," and Sunday Morning."

At the end of the show, Adam posted on Twitter: "Incredible show in Manila! #insanity!"
