Gretchen Barretto says she is willing to star in an indie film in the future. She will begin shooting scenes for her upcoming teleserye Muling Buksan ang Puso (formerly known as Alta) by the end of July.

Ana served as executive producer, Ina wrote the script and performed as one of the lead stars of the Cinemalaya opening film. Maskara is their tribute to the father of their family, the late actor Johnny Delgado. 

Brothers Ralph (right) and Renz (left) Fernandez played supporting characters in the film Maskara. It's their first indie film.

Maestro Ryan Cayabyab (right) and Emmy Punsalan-Cayabyab (left) were spotted during the opening ceremonies of this year's Cinemalaya.

Actress Evelyn Vargas (left) was seated beside Adolf Alix Jr. (director of Cinemalaya entry Isda, middle), and Noel Ferrer (talent manager and producer of the Cinemalaya entry Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me).

Raquel Villavicencio plays a supporting role in Maskara (which was previously titled Pahayag ng Artista). She is also cast as the wife of Tirso Cruz III in the Cinemalaya entry  Bisperas, which is included in the Director's Showcase category.

Ana Feleo, producer of Maskara, thanked the friends and colleagues of her mother, Laurice Guillen, who gave their full support to the making the film.

Direk Laurice Guillen (left) and Ana Feleo (right) introduced the cast members of their film. Angelica Panganiban was seen in Maskara as one of the guests who tearfully recalled her favorite moment with the late actor.

According to Maskara scriptwriter Ina Feleo (left), she patterned the character of Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino (right) after her mother Laurice Guillen.

Ina explained, "Gusto kong makita nila si daddy [Johnny Delgado]. A closer look at him as an artist. Kasi yung pagiging artist niya ay buhay niya na. Gusto ko ring ipakita yung pagmamahalan ng mag-asawa at pagmamahal ng anak sa ama."

Cinemalaya head Nestor Jardin and Cultural Center of the Philippines President Emily Abrera (second from left) gave a certificate of recognition to director Laurice Guillen and daughter Ana Feleo.

Director Joel Lamangan was also present at the Cinemalaya opening.

He's the director of the Cinemalaya entry Patikul, which is competing in the Director's Showcase category.

Ava Santos played the daughter of Ellen Martinez (played by Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino) in Maskara.

The head of Brussels Film Fest, Robert Malengraeu (left), and Cinemalaya Foundation chairman Nestor Jardin (right) were seen chatting during the cocktails held after the screening. 

Rez Cortez (left) and Raquel Villavicencio (right) were among the artists who gave their testimony for the lead character in Maskara. The closing credits of the movie Maskara showed clips of the late Johnny Delgado.

Ina Feleo portrayed the character of Ana Martinez in Maskara. She was also the scriptwriter of the film.

When asked how it was like to work with her mother, Direk Laurice Guillen, Ina told PEP.ph: "Ok naman kami ni mommy, isinantabi namin yung mother and daughter relationship. Meron kaming distansyang professional. Ang mahirap lang same house kayo. Everytime na may maisip syang bagong idea tatawagin niya agad ako. May mga time na nag-aargue kami palagi, pero creative arguments naman yun,  hindi yung talagang nag-aaway basta-basta bilang mag-ina." 

Miles Ocampo (right) portrayed a young girl who took a workshop in the film. She is joined in this photo by Ana Feleo (left) and Djanin Cruz (middle), the daughter of Tirso Cruz III.

Miles Ocampo is also a part of Maskara.

In the film she talked about how she was loved and praised by Bobby Martinez (portrayed by Tirso Cruz III). Her anecdote in the film reflects her fondness for the late actor Johnny Delgado.

Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino played Ellen Martinez, the wife of Bobby Martinez (portrayed in the film by Tirso Cruz III). Shamaine's character discovers letters indicating that her husband had an illegitimate daughter. 

After the screening of the film Maskara, a group played different percussion instruments outside the Main Theater, adding to the festive atmosphere. Earlier that night, topless hunks performed acrobatics at the lobby using poles and scaffolding installed in the venue.
