One of the guests who dropped by the send-off party was Sarah Geronimo, who got to work with Sam in the series iDOL.

When asked to give her reaction about the heartthrob's trip to U.S., the Pop Star Princess told PEP:

"Siyempre, mixed emotions kami sa pagiging Hollywood star na ni Sam.

"Happy ako dahil alam natin na better yung kompanya, yung career dun. Hollywood yun, e.

"And nagbibigay siya ng pride and honor sa country natin. So, happy ako for that.

"Siyempre, nakakalungkot din dahil mami-miss natin siya.

"Of course, hindi naman siya forever nandun, di ba?

"Nakalungkot din dahil may friendship na nabuo dito kahit hindi kami masyadong nagkasama-sama din. So ayun.

"Pero more than yung sadness, happy ako for Sam and proud ako na soon, e, maipagmamalaki niya ang ating bansa."

KC Concepcion (right), the female lead in Sam's most recent film Forever and a Day, arrived with sister Cloie Syquia Concepcion.

Arriving solo was Angelica Panganiban, who gave friend and fellow Star Magic talent Sam a big hug.

Angelica's boyfriend of more than three years, Derek, arrived in his Audi sports car...and with a single rose (inset), which he bought from one of the vendors roaming the streets of Tomas Morato Avenue.

Star Magic's big boss Johnny Manahan checked out the formerly-injured arm (inset) of Derek.

The man of the hour with Kim Chiu (left), who said she will definitely miss Sam.

Xian Lim (right) also gave a short message for the singer-actor: "Sam, maraming salamat sa lahat ng samahan. Good luck to you there, and God bless."

Maja Salvador (second from left) was one of the early birds.

While she was getting food, the #MyCactusHeart star heard Sam talking to one of his guests.

Maja quipped, "Ayan na naman si Sam, umi-English..."

Asked to give a message to Sam, she said: "Hello, Sam! Uhm, ingat ka and we're very, very proud of you. Sobrang layo na nung narating mo. Sana kahit Hollywood star ka na, lagi mo pa rin kaming maaalala. And we're always here for you."

Meanwhile, Enchong Dee (left) also made a wish for his friend: "Sam, alam mo naman nung nasa Canada pa lang tayo pinagpi-pray ko na yung Hollywoodness mo, so alam mo na yan. Whatever happens to you, you have a friend here in Manila kaya galingan mo. Kunin ka or hindi, pagbalik mo, 'eto pa rin, kapamilya pa rin kami."

Matteo Guidicelli (left): "I wish you all the best. I really wish your trip will be a success for you, bro, I know it will be. We'll be praying for you here. And we're very, very excited that you're representing the Philippines, representing all of us. God bless you, man. We just wish you the best. And when you greet names there, I hope you don't forget us. God bless you all the way and I'll see you when you get back, bro. Take care."

Rayver Cruz (right): "Una, congratulations kasi lahat tayo, yun ang pangarap. Pero, kita naman natin si Sam, makakamit na niya and, uh, sobrang deserving na tao kasi lahat ng mga blessings na natatanggap niya, pinamamahagi niya talaga. Na-experience ko yun nung huling tour namin sa Canada. Napakabait talaga ni Sam, so, mami-miss namin siyang lahat. Ingat ka dun and panibagong pakikipagsapalaran na naman ‘to pero I'm sure, kayang-kaya mo..."

One of Sam's "oldest" friends in showbiz, Sae Alonzo, arrived with husband Ryan Tordesillas.

The actor's former housemate in PBB said about her "good friend": "Gusto ko lang sabihin na you're gonna do well. Whatever happens in the States, we're gonna be proud of him.

"And if he gets to come back for a visit, we'll be here for him.

"And kung mag-stay talaga siya dun sa States, and kahit na hindi tayo nagkikita, alam ko naman na he's still gonna keep in touch all the time. Just have fun and be yourself all the time, and your real friends will be here for you." 

Angeline Quinto: "Maraming salamat po sa kanya kasi kahit po na hindi kami ganun katagal nagkasama, e, sobrang naging close naman po kami.

"'Tsaka marami din po kasi talaga akong natutunan talaga sa kanya. Lalo na po nung una kaming nagkasama sa ASAP.

"'Tapos, in-invite din po kasi niya ako sa bahay nila na sobrang natuwa ako kasi, ang ganda-ganda ng bahay niya. Parang pangarap ko din kasi yun.

"'Tapos ngayon, aalis na siya. Siyempre nakakalungkot po pero alam ko naman po na, eto yung gustong-gusto gawin ni Sam 'tsaka alam ko naman po na magiging masaya din po siya sa States.

"'Tsaka sabi niya nga po, hindi naman po siya mag-i-stay dun ng sobrang tagal dahil babalik din naman po siya sa Pilipinas.

"Kaya, alam ko naman po na sa pagbabalik ni Sam ay mas magiging...makikilala pa siya ng higit pa sa Sam Milby."

With Yeng Constantino, who is also a mainstay of ASAP 2010, where Sam is regularly seen every Sunday...

Megan Young: "I just wanna wish you good luck and alam ko naman kayang-kaya mo 'yan, naks!  Ahm, you know, it's...of course, you'd expect it's gonna be tough. But then, if you know that you really want it, if you really want something, I know that you'll be able to get it, so good luck for that, and wish you all the best."

Lui Villaruz—Sam's co-star in direk Cathy Molina's film—also went to the party.

His message for Sam: "Salamat sa mga kiss and hugs, mami-miss ko yun. Pero, ano lang naman, short lang naman, ten seconds lang. Bukod dun, siyempre, yung bonding natin as bro. So, ingat ka, brother. I'll see you soon. Good luck and do what you love, love what you do."
