After more than three decades, Martin Nievera and Sharon Cuneta finally shared the same stage! The two well-known singers joined up in a back-to-back concert dubbed Once in a Lifetime, last night, February 11, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Sharonians (which is how the Megastar's fans call themselves) and the Martians (which is how the balladeer calls his fans) took a stroll down memory lane by performing their greatest hits.

At about 9 p.m., almost an hour after the announced start of the concert, the huge screens lit up.
The audience cheered.
An AVP (audio visual presentation) was played, showing Martin and Sharon talking about working with each other.
The Megastar described the Concert King as her "vocal soulmate."

Present was Senator Francis "Kiko" Panglinan—the "soy sauce" of Sharon.
This description was given by Martin, who added, "He's your Kikkoman."
With the senator was Frankie, his eldest daughter with the Megastar.

Two of the country's finest performers opened their concert with a medley of "The Promise (I'll Never Say Goodbye)," "The Last Time I Felt Like This," and "Sweet Love."

A segment was dedicated to what they called their "unhappy files."
Top photo: Sharon's marriage to actor Gabby Concepcion didn't work out.
Bottom photo: The same could be said of Martin's marriage to fellow singer Pops Fernandez.
To carry the fans along with them on this reminiscing mode, the two performers rendered Lani Hall's "Come What May," which is believed to be the theme song of Sharon and Gabby.
Incidentally, Pops also recorded her version of that song.

Next, the Concert King dished out pop songs like "Give Me Everything Tonight," "Moves Like Jagger," and "Party Rock Anthem" with the G-Force.
Yup, he danced!
He quipped, "Sharon don't dance, so I have to."

Then it was Sharon's turn to go pop.
And she chose Adele's songs "Someone Like You" and "Rolling in the Deep."
She jested, "Uy, mas payat ako kay Adele."

The fellow singing with Shawie is Charlie Green, who was discovered thru Britain's Got Talent.
The two rendered "Ewan," an APO Hiking Society Hit.

The 14-year-old half-Pinoy/half-British singer had his moment: he sang a cut from his album Rainbow.

Then it was Martin's turn to sing with Charlie, whom the Concert King called "the Justin Bieber of the Philippines."
Their repertoire included "Overjoyed," "Isn't She Lovely," to name a few.

In the middle of Martin and Charlie's performance, Martin went down the stage and gave the mic to Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, whom he introduced as "my dance instructor."

He didn't just wow the crowd with his voice, he also had them rolling with his funny spiels.
While Sharon was mentioning the names of her "Tweeties," somebody from the crowd yelled that she was "Luna."
Martin threw in, addressing Sharon, "She just called you unan."
The Big Dome vibrated with laughter.
