The best musicians in the country gathered once more for this year's MYX Music Awards held at the Music Museum in San Juan last March 13.
MYX, the premier local music channel in the country has been hosting the MYX Music Awards since 2006.
Since then, it has become the most noted music award-giving body in the country. Winners are voted by fans through text messaging. The event has been an important venue through which Original Pilipino Music (OPM) is given recognition in this era of foreign music invasion.
Parokya ni Edgar won six out of their seven nominations. They were voted by fans as Favorite Artist, Favorite Group, Favorite Song, Favorite MYX Live Performance, Favorite Collaboration and Favorite Celebrity Appearance in a Music Video. Maestro Ryan Cayabyab was bestowed the MYX Magna Award.
