The evening was spiced up by the event host John "Sweet" Lapus.

Aside from his funny spiels, his wardrobe changes were hard to miss. The first of five outfits he wore was a pink floral Filipiniana, which he dubbed the "Hermana Mayor" look, by designer JC Buendia.

Outfit number two for Sweet was a black taffeta ball gown by Bing Cristobal.

The audience had a good laugh as Sweet became playful with most of the male celebrities who went up on stage, including award presenters Rocco Nacino (left) and Alden Richards (center).

For his third look, Sweet slipped into a beige one-shoulder tent dress, also by Cristobal.

He introduced the next two sets of award presenters—acclaimed actress Shamaine Buencamino and scriptwriter Raquel Villavicencio—as "mga hindi nagsusuklay pero nananalo ng award!"

Sweet was referring to the curly hair of the two talented ladies.

John added, with his hair in disarray, "Kapag hindi pa ako nanalo ng Best Supporting Actress nito, ewan ko na lang!"

The fourth outfit: A black sequined one-shoulder silk dress, which was also created by designer Cristobal.

Sweet had the honor of presenting the top acting awards with his idol, Nora Aunor.

Throughout the show, Sweet noticed Aga Muhlach laughing and applauding each time he would change his outfit.

"Tuwang tuwa ka, matuwa ka pa kaya kung naka-panty at bra na lang ako sa sunod na paglabas ko?" he said.

True to his word, the comedian stripped down to just a pair of black underwear from Victoria's Secret, much to the surprise (and delight) of Aga and the rest of the crowd.

(L-R) Kapuso stars Rocco Nacino and Alden Richards were both nominated for the Breakthrough Performance by an Actor category, which was eventually won by Rocco for his performance in Ang Sayaw Ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa.

The latter was nominated for his portrayal in The Road.

(L-R) Angeli Sanoy, Martin delos Santos, and Kean Cipriano also presented some awards.

Kean, who starred in Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank, was nominated for Breakthrough Performance by an Actor.

Angeli, on the other hand, took home the award for Breakthrough Performance by an Actress.

Chris Martinez accepted the award for Best Original Screenplay.

He is the man responsible for the out-of-the-box scenes and funny lines in Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank.

Party Pilipinas mainstay Frencheska Farr performed the pop hit "Nobody's Perfect" by British singer Jessie J. '

In 2011, Frencheska was awarded with the Breakthrough Performance by an Actress trophy for her role in Emir.
