For starters, former child star Ella Guevarra sang the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) theme song.

Young as she is, Ella wants to be part of the noble aspirations of the PRC, which focuses on the youth this year, hence the theme Youth on the Move.

Kapuso tween star Joshua Dionisio rendered an upbeat number during the launch.

He even posted an invite in his Facebook account a day before the event, encouraging his fans to join him at the launch of the 2012 Million Volunteer Run.

According to former senator Dick Gordon, the Million Volunteer run of the Red Cross last December 4, 2011  gathered all Red Cross volunteers in chapters all over the country for the nationwide Million Volunteer run.

This year, Gordon has set November 24, 2012 to be the schedule of the nationwide run.

“We targeted a million volunteer runners in Metro Manila and another million in other parts of the country," he said.

One of the guests at the 2012 Million Volunteer Run was Prince Tunku Naquiyuddin, son of the late 10th king of Malaysia.

Prince Tunku is in the country to help raise awareness on dengue, and malaria prevention and control.
