After five years in showbiz, this was her first time to celebrate her birthday with friends in showbiz and with the entertainment press.

Two of her expected guests were Aljur Abrenica and Mark Herras with his girlfriend Ynna Asistio. But Aljur is in the States to do shows for GMA Pinoy TV, and Mark was at    an "emergency".

Kris's birthday thoughts: "Tuwing tatanungin ako sa birthday wish ko, iniisip ko lang ang family ko. Lahat ng wish ko, para sa family ko. Yung para sa career ko, gusto kong magkaroon ng mas maraming endorsement, magazine covers, challenging roles, mga awards... Lahat yun wish ko, dahil din sa family ko."

Makapiling Kang Muli star Sarah Lahbati (left) also came to party with Kris. The two worked together in the primetime dance-drama series Time of My Life (2011).

The Moron 5 and the Crying Lady star, John "Sweet" Lapus,  partied as well with the other Kapuso stars that night.

John is also part of the newest primetime soap opera of the Kapuso network, Makapiling Kang Muli.

Former Kapuso star Martin Escudero (left) joined Kris on her special day.

Another Kapamilya actor was there to celebrate the special night with Kris Bernal, Aldred Gatchalian (right).

In her speech, Kris said she worried about having a party for she has only a few friends. On seeing the crowd that came to celebrated with her, Kris said, "Ngayon ko lang nalaman na madami palang nagmamahal sa akin!"

A birthday will not be complete without the blowing of the birthday candle. The GMAAC family gave their "sweetheart," Kris Bernal, a strawberry cake for her birthday.
