Eric Quizon agreed to do a quick intervew with the media after the noontime service sponsored by PAMI. He said the family is grateful for the overwhelming support of the industry and the public.

He also said the family is not at all offended by the small entrepreneurs who are making a profit selling Dolphy T-shirts and memorabilia.

"Iyong iba ang gaganda. Iyong mga kapatid ko nga nangongolekta, e. I think it's my dad's way of sharing his blessings pa din, his love for the public."

The mood inside the funeral home may be sullen, but Dolphy's children manage to smile when they hear stories from their father's old friends about how the late Comedy King would make them laugh.

Rodolfo Quizon Jr., better known as Dolphy Jr., said the greatest lesson he learned from his father is forgiveness.

A heroin junkie and convicted arsonist in 1981, Dolphy Jr. was able to turn his life around and became a Christian pastor, thanks to the patience and constant support of his father.

One of the early birds at the wake was the 1960's actress Carina Mojer.

She shared her fondest memories of Dolphy, having worked with him in three movies: Dolpong Scarface, Dr. Yes, and Adre, Ayos na ang Butu-buto.

Comedienne Elizabeth Ramsey was one of Dolphy's colleagues at the Sampaguita Pictures.

The PAMI service was followed by a memorial program sponsored by Sampaguita Pictures in the afternoon, and a reunion of the John En Marsha cast later that evening.

Character actors who have worked with the Comedy King also came to visit.

Gio Alvarez, who starred as Bob Cosme in Home Along Da Riles, always looked up to Dolphy as a father. He says he, along with his "siblings" from the show, are saddened by the passing of their Tatay Kevin.

He attended the wake with his wife Rea.

'90s singer-actress Lindsay Custodio worked with Dolphy in the series, Home Along Da Riles, as the loveteam partner of Gio Alvarez.

She visited the wake with her husband Julius Platon and their daughter Charisse.

Zsa Zsa Padilla's daughter Karylle assisted her friend KC Concepcion when she visited Dolphy's wake that afternoon.

Members of the media tried to interview KC on the Comedy King's passing, but she escaped through the back door of the funeral home.
