In A Secret Affair, a film that tackles infidelity yet again, Anne gets to play the legitimate girlfriend of Derek Ramsay's character.

Derek Ramsay was handed his first lead role in No Other Woman where he played Ram Escaler, a furniture business man who engages in an extra-marital relationship with Anne Curtis's character.

In A Secret Affair, Derek portrays another man who gets caught up between two women. The actor describes his role as a playboy who falls in love with Anne's character, but gets involved with a younger woman—Andi's character.

Andi Eigenmann stars in her first daring role on the big screen in A Secret Affair. She portrays Sam, a young woman who Derek's character engages in an affair with. Andi tells of her character, "Sorority sister ako ni Anne na ispinonsor [sponsor] niya. We belong to one barkada, basically. And then, I'm in love with the same man that she is [in love with]."

On her first week of shooting, Andi braved a kissing scene with Derek. In an interview with PEP, the actress said, "Di ko alam kung ano gagawin ko, kung ano yung tama o mali. Pero kahit na hindi na kami nag-workshop, ok lang. Ako, gusto ko po to make the scene nice and to do my job well. So, mag-e-effort po talaga 'ko. It's so nice that Derek was willing to make an effort. He really talks to me and helps me."

YouTube star Petra Mahalimuyak, or Ashley Rivera in real life, plays one of Anne's sorority sisters in A Secret Affair. The Las Vegas-based Pinay, who became popular among netizens for her comedic "how-to" videos, gets a taste of the silver screen exposure in this film.
