The Thursday audience was in for a treat. Cheers filled the studio the moment Jessica came before the cameras.

She was welcomed by Eat Bulaga! hosts (L-R) Ruby Rodriguez, Senator Tito Sotto, Allan K, Ryan Agoncillo, and Keempee de Leon.

Apparently, Jessica was in for a treat as well! Comedian Jimmy Santos—notorious for his English-speaking "skills"—became the laughing-stock when he attempted to converse with the California-raised Jessica. He told her, "When you were born... you... were a baby. Your parents... know that."

This photo shows Ruby tilting her head, unable to contain her laughter. Allan struggled to explain what "Uncle Jimmy" just said to a bemused Jessica. Ryan was at a loss for words. Jimmy laughed at his own joke. Keempee captured the moment on his videophone.

Another highlight of Jessica's visit was the mini-showdown the young chanteuse had with Allan K, who is also a professional live singer.

(Left) The comedian/host/singer belted out the first lines of "And I Am Telling You"—a song Jessica sang on the finale episode of American Idol with Broadway singer Jennifer Holiday.

(Right) Jessica sang the next few lines as she and Allan K blended their voices, all impromptu.

As she bid the audience goodbye, Jessica joined the hosts in delivering their spiels. She articulated "Eat Bulaga!" in her American accent, to the amusement of everyone.
