As part of its month-long anniversary celebration this year, Wazzup Wazzup hosts (from left) Vhong Navarro, Toni Gonzaga, and Archie Alemania help train the next batch of spoof newscasters dubbed as Wazzup Summer Zupistars.

In this photo, Toni Gonzaga had not yet been injured in the face by an accident that took place while she was shooting for a commercial in a swimming pool. As a result of her injuries, Toni had to take a leave of absence from her three shows—Wazzup Wazzup, Pinoy Big Brother, and ASAP '07.

Wazzup Wazzup host Archie Alemania (leftmost) told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that he has experienced being humiliated and even threatened when he was still a tadjock (spoof newscaster) for the gag show. Meanwhile, fellow hosts Toni Gonzaga and Vhong Navarro noted an increase in their confidence as the show progressed.

One of these young students and fresh graduates will be named as the ultimate news comedy Wazzup Summer Zupistar on May 18 during the culmination of the month-long anniversary celebration of Wazzup Wazzup.

Baby Glow Brito a.k.a. "Little Big Zupistar"
Baby Glow is a 19-year old comic who hailed from UP Diliman and has performed in the last three LIVE A.I.D.S. staged by UP SAMASKOM. He is the first to impersonate presidential daughter, Luli, hence the monicker "Baby Glow."

Camille Castello a.k.a "Sossy Zupistar"
Camille is a classy yet makulit 19-year old Comm Arts Major coming from Miriam College. Her funny but taray Gretchen Barretto-Devil Wears Prada remarks clinched her a spot in the Final 8.

Carvey Favis a.k.a. "Zupistar Cutie"
The 18-year old CSB heartthrob is your cute boy-next-door neighbor—you wish! His best weapon is his disarming million-dollar smile that will make the girls go ga-ga!

Coolai Concepcion a.k.a. "Rainbow Zupistar"
Every room brightens whenever this 25-year old events host is around. True to her name--Coolai stands out in every crowd because of her vibrant, conceptualized outfits to match her multi-colored hair topped with her signature tiara.

Imma Lopez a.k.a. "Prankster Zupistar"
Imma is an 18-year old CSB student who stands by his ambition to be a distinguished diplomat in two years. But in the meantime, Imma just might be the next Zupistar—thanks to his innate prankster traits.

Jose Sarasola a.k.a. "Loverboy Zupistar"
This hunky 21-year old CSB Culinary Arts Major makes the summer hotter than hot! Jose's good looks, hot bod and oozing sex appeal make him every girl's loverboy.

Kaye Padilla a.k.a. "Red Hot Zupistar"
The sultry 20-year old is not your typical bimbo, she is a Political Science major from Ateneo de Manila University and can talk a mile a minute. Kaye can outsmart anyone with her opinionated retorts just like her famous audition line: "I can sing, I can dance, I can act, I can strip."

Tikoy Caballero a.k.a. "Chinoy Comedian Zupistar"
The chinito 22-year old Broadcasting graduate can morph into Jimmy Bondoc, LA Lopez and Dulce in a snap of a finger! Tikoy is one of the youngest stand-up comedians in the industry scene plus he can act and sing too!

In order to become the ultimate news comedy Wazzup Summer Zupistar, the contestant must possess comic timing, field reporting skills and the ZUPISTAR X-factor!
