The guy gives Gretchen a kiss. Upon checking the rear-view mirror closely, it appears to be a kiss near La Greta's ear.
The shot was ruined a by another car speeding off. The photographer was probably taking the shot from the spot, which was slightly opposite where the BMW was parked.
