Angel Aquino looks like a queen in her Santacruzan gowns.
Uploaded: December 29, 2007
Angel Aquino is a Santacruzan veteran, having started when she was in
grade school. Summers in her hometown, San Jose, Batangas, often saw
Angel putting on crown and gown. Angel herself reigned as Reyna Elena
twice while still in high school.
Angel’s modeling career got fast-tracked when she joined a Robinson’s
Mall Santacruzan, where she donned a canary-yellow and fuchsia gown by
designer Peter Lim. A fashion stylist for a glossy fashion magazine
noticed the stand-out beauty and introduced her to his editor. Charmed
by her dusky, elegant looks, the editor immediately lined up Angel for
a fashion pictorial. And the rest is fashion’s gain.
ON ANGEL: Looking
every inch a heavenly queen, Angel wears a beaded coral chiffon gown, a
bestseller at the Baclaran market, and a silver and rhinestone tiara
from Marcella. (YES! May 2003 issue)
Regal in a lavender gown also from Baclaran and an amethyst necklace from Charms & Crystals (*price available upon request), Angel holds a bouquet of white roses, mums, red clover, aster, and wild grass from Dangwa Public Market.
Angel, in a fiery satin and glazed organza gown—another Baclaran find!— holds a bouquet of stargazers, aster, and orange roses from Dangwa Public Market. The rhinestone tiara and the rhinestone necklace and earring set are both from Marcella.
Our model looks divine in blue. The gown—believe it or not, also from Baclaran—is a single-piece slip-satin and glazed organza number with a lace-up corset bodice. To match, she wears a choker of semi-precious stones from Charms & Crystals (*price available upon request) and matte silver strappy heels with faux-jewel-encrusted strap.
