FHM-Philippines celebrated its 10th anniversary at the NBC Tent in Taguig City, proudly presenting the Sexiest Women of
the Decade as chosen by the magazine's staff.

This special event to mark the magazine's 10th year paid tribute to all the celebrities and individuals who helped shape FHM- Philippines over the years.
Sunshine Cruz earns the
distinction as the first Pinay to grace the cover of FHM's local
franchise during its launching in 2000.
FHM's 10th anniversary issue reveals that the actress at the time of the pictorial was
having an argument over the phone with then boyfriend and now husband Cesar
Montano.
"Still, that shoot turned out to be a classic, and in no small part due to Sunshine's porcelain beauty," wrote the magazine's article.
Diana Zubiri shot up to fame in 2002 mainly on the strength of her
controversial Mandaluyong flyover pictorial with FHM- Philippines. The sexy actress has appeared thrice on the magazine's cover. Unfortunately, she was unable to join the anniversary celebration.
FHM-Philippines Editor-in-Chief Allan Madrilejos
told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) later that the Sexiest Women of the
Decade is not determined by ranking.
"Unranked to...
Walang mas magaling kesa kanino, walang mas malaking issue kesa kanino. Ang
Sexiest Women of the Decade is, kumbaga, an elite list of FHM's then, now and the future," clarified the amiable editor.
The crowd came to the event armed
with their cell phones and cameras to document all the action.
Another much anticipated FHM event is the annual Sexiest Woman
spectacle held every July. "Hindi ko pa alam kung anong mangyayari this year,"
Allan Madrilejos told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). "We still have what,
three months to prepare for that. But we're hoping that the fans will once again support us just like the previous years."
To keep the fans entertained,
Slick Rick, Tony Toni, and Sam YG invited some in the audience to participate
in games prepared by the event's major sponsors.
Aspirants vying to be the next
image model for a popular brand of condom. The lucky winner
will follow in the footsteps of ex-FHM sex guru Asia Agcaoili and present guru Paloma, two babes who previously
represented the condom brand.
Aubrey Miles arrived together
with longtime boyfriend, Troy Montero. According to Aubrey, he is very "proud"
of the fact that she is still an FHM babe despite being a mom.
Sexy ladies were all over the place. Before the presentation of the Sexiest Women of the Decade, ladies
and models from the fully-dressed to the scantily-clad made sure to keep guys in the audience wide-awake.
Babes, babes and more babes invade the stage to the guys' delight. By the time the celebrity cover girls were about to be presented, the NBC Tent was steaming with excitement and anticipation.
The 10th anniversary event is only the beginning of more great activities to come, said Associate Publisher Chad Rosario.
"2010 will also see the release of other FHM special issues and other surprise events that we're sure readers will enjoy," he promised.
First to be called was Katya Santos, who represented
the Viva Hotbabes. Editor-in-Chief Allan Madrilejos cited the now defunct
all-girl sexy group as one of the magazine's luminaries deserving of a "shout out."
Next in line was Aubrey Miles, one of FHM's certified fan
favorites. All in all, Aubrey has graced the covers of the magazine three
times: September 2002, August 2004 (cover photo above), and July 2009.
The sexy mother,
however, picked the July 2009 feature as her favorite. "Inspiring siya for
other women, I think," said Aubrey. "Kasi it showed na you can still look good
and sexy kahit na may anak ka na."
Another FHM-Philippines icon,
Francine Prieto, made it to the magazine's Sexiest Women of the Decade list.
"Malaking honor talaga na
mapasama kasi sobrang kinagat talaga ng mga tao ang FHM dito sa atin. 'Tsaka malaking tulong talaga ‘tong FHM sa career ko kasi nung nag-start ako
nung 2003, kasi siyempre ‘yong unang movie ko Liberated tinatanong ng mga tao sino ba ‘yon? Pero nung nakita nila
ako dito lalo na nung mga nagku-collect talaga, nakita nila kung sino si
Francine," she told members of the entertainment press.
"Hot mama" is the term commonly
used in describing seasoned actress Jean Garcia. At the presentation,
Jean proved that she truly can give the much younger cover girls a run for
their money. The crowd went wild the moment Jean's name was called on stage.
Wowowee's Valerie
Concepcion got the crowd revved up the moment she set foot on the large stage.
Valerie's debut FHM Philippines
appearance was in July 2006.
Kapamilya star
and current issue cover girl Bangs Garcia credited FHM-Philippines for boosting her confidence.
Bangs said, "Hindi
naman lahat ng tao nanonood ng TV e, so with my first FHM appearance [May 2009], at least may whole new audience na nakakakilala sa
akin."
Cover girl Iwa Moto made no
secret of her desire to finally take home the FHM Sexiest Woman crown
this year.
To boost her campaign, the StarStruck alumna pushed herself to lose
considerable weight to help her chances in dethroning reigning queen, Cristine
Reyes.
Two-time FHM-Philippines Sexiest Woman Katrina Halili said she's not out to
compete against anyone in this year's voting. But should the magazine invite
her again to grace its cover, Katrina was sure about what the readers can expect this time around: "Mas palaban na Katrina."
FHM's reigning Sexiest Woman, Cristine Reyes, is surely not up to surrender her crown.
Despite
facing tough competition from other worthy cover babes this year, Cristine is
still highly favored by some readers to defend her throne, just like Katrina Halili did in 2006 and 2007.
Majority of those who made it to
the list were not able to attend due to prior commitments.
Those who made
it to the list but were unable to attend were Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban,
Asia Agcaoili, Assunta de Rossi, Bianca king, Cindy Kurleto, Cristine Garcia,
Diana Zubiri, Dina Bonnevie, Ehra Madrigal, Jackie Rice, Joyce Jimenez, Maureen
Larrazabal, Maui Taylor, Patricia Javier, Rufa Mae Quinto and Sunshine Cruz.
Funny rocker Jay
Contreras led Kamikazee in giving loud entertainment to all the guests.
Kamikazee performed "Hot na Hot," the song written by the band especially for FHM.
