Judy Ann Santos marked her 20th anniversary in showbiz by mounting a concert dubbed as Bida ng Buhay Ko at the Araneta Coliseum last Saturday, June 16. The two-hour program featured milestones in Judy Ann's 20-year career and promoted her upcoming primetime soap opera, Ysabella, which will premiere on June 25. Bida ng Buhay Ko airs July 1, on ABS-CBN on Kapamilya Sunday's Best.

To signal the start of Bida ng Buhay Ko, Judy Ann Santos emerged onstage wearing a black hooded cloak that covered her entirely. She threw the cape off to reveal a royal blue flowing top over a grayish corset, skimpy Daisy Duke shorts, and fishnet stockings. Two dancers lifted her up as Judy Ann performed Beyoncé Knowles's dance hit "Crazy in Love."

It seems fitting to hold Judy Ann's anniversary concert at the Araneta Coliseum because it was at this venue two decades ago that she went on her first audition to become part of the showbiz industry. Gladys Reyes paid tribute to Judy Ann by singing the theme song of Mara Clara for the anniversary concert. Back then, Gladys was still part of the Kapamilya Network and played the kontrabida Clara opposite Judy Ann's good girl character Mara. After Gladys's performance, Judy Ann signaled "I love you" and blew a kiss at her former co-star in the 1993 teleserye.

Fans of Judy Ann might have to wait for sometime before seeing their favorite star walk down the aisle in a white gown such as this one. Although rumors circulated that Ryan was planning to propose to his ladylove during the concert, this did not materialize.

Wowie de Guzman took to the stage again after a long absence from showbiz. He was first paired with Judy Ann in the tearjerker Sana Naman. Not to mention, this former member of the Universal Motion Dancers was the first boyfriend of the young actress. Judy Ann's former flame is now trying to make a comeback in the industry and is now being handled by Alfie Lorenzo.

Judy Ann's passion for cooking was presented in an amusing musical production number featuring top comedians such as Pokwang, Kitkat, Candy Pangilinan, and Pooh. One of the segments was "Super Kusinera," a spoof of Judy Ann's fantaserye Krystala.

Pooh portrayed Ryan Agoncillo and he shyly told Pokwang (playing Judy Ann Santos): "I love...I love...I love your smell...adobo."
After the spoof presentation, Judy Ann tells the crowd: "Halos gumulong ako sa kakatawa. Buti na lang naka-gown ako, buti napigilan ko."

Charo Santos-Concio narrates the heartrending story of Aetas living in Hermosa, Bataan, who have been adopted by Judy Ann's Touch a Heart Foundation. The 29-year old actress has promised to give a better life to the 50 natives whom she personally visited a few days before her anniversary concert.

Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano, gave a heartfelt rendition of "Only Hope" as a VTR of Judy Ann was shown helping Aetas in Hermosa, Bataan. After his song, he told Judy Ann, "Ikaw ay isang ehemplo para sa lahat. You are doing your part in the development of our country."

The crowd at Araneta Coliseum were treated to a sneak preview of Judy Ann's upcoming primetime soap opera, Ysabella. Her two leading men in the story are Ryan Agoncillo (leftmost) and Derek Ramsey. In fact, most of the cast members of Ysabella, all dressed in white, attended the concert as a way of showing support for their lead actress.

As the show ended, Judy Ann gave a heartfelt speech that brought tears to her eyes. "Thank you, Lord. Thank you God for giving me this life. Libre naman ako umiyak, di ba? Anniversary ko naman, e. Sana pinagsayaw na lang nila ko sa closing, mas madali pa," she quipped, while wiping away her tears.

Judy Ann shows her gratitude for her supporters, fellow artists, and family members by singing "Thanks To You." In return, fans were allowed to go up onstage and hang garlands around the neck of their idol. The show ends with confetti falling down from the ceiling of the Araneta Coliseum.

Right after her anniversary concert, a more composed Judy Ann Santos faced the press and answered a few questions regarding her new show Ysabella. "Malapit sa puso ko ang Ysabella kasi nagkataon na kakatapos ko lang ng Culinary [Studies] and then Ysabella came. I really enjoyed doing a show wherein I'm cooking and working at the same time...Napaka-swak sa pagkatao ko."
