Rosanna Roces granted an interview for Startalk after more than two years of absence from the talk show she co-hosted before. This historic interview was aired on the 11th year anniversary of Startalk last November 11.

Osang left the show when she had a tussle with former manager Lolit Solis—the manager, according to Osang, squealed to Vicki Belo about the pregnancy of Grace Adriano, daughter of the actress.

When co-host Butch Francisco asked her how it feels to be back in a Startalk camera after all these years, Osang said: “Una pumayag ako dahil sa iyo [Butch]… Back at home. [Parang] nilayasan mo tatay mo. Ngayon, sinesermonan ka. Natutuwa ako.”

Since having Gab—Grace’s son with Jolo Revilla—in her life, Lola Osang started to tone down a bit; a characteristic very much different from the usually feisty lady. She said that she is happy with her simple family life. “Mabuti, masaya. Nagbibigay sa akin ng happiness yung apo ko. Wala akong iniintinding bagay kundi kung paano ko sila papalakihin nang maayos,” reflected Rosanna.

When asked whether she will finally settle her differences with Lolit, here’s what she had to say: “We are the people you love to hate. Kahit may sabihin pa siya [Lolit], wala na siyang maririnig sa akin. Kahit papaano, may pinagsamahan din kami. Tsaka kung papaano ka na din naman niya ipagtanggol din... Siya rin ang nagturo sa akin na kung kinakailangang manahimik ka, manahimik ka muna kasi talagang mali ka. Ayoko na rin kasing magalit.”

She also added that she has forgiven Lolit "matagal na."

Similarly, she said to people who wanted to have a tussle with her: “Wag na nating patulan yan. Wag lang gagalawin ang mga bata”

Osang admitted going through financial problems. She said, “Dumating ako sa puntong I hit rock bottom. Naisanla ko na yung [bahay] sa Binangonan hanggang sa naibenta ko. Ang mahal-mahal pa ng gasolina. Tipid tayo sa kuryente. Pinatigil ko lahat, yung water heater, plantsa. Pag gumigising ako, hala nandyan na lahat ng bayarin. Ang hirap kasi withraw ka nang withraw. Wala kang dinedeposito.”

With everything that happened to her, Osang shared some of the lessons she learned from her mistakes: “Minsan kailangang yumuko tayo. Swallow your pride.”

She added: “Dumating ako sa point na Diyos ko, kunin mo na ako. Pagod na ako. As in sobrang daming mali. Nagkapatong-patong na. Naiko-correct naman yan e.”
