Former actor Cris Villanueva defended himself against accusations that he is the one to blame for ex-girlfriend Criselda Volks's worsening depression.

Criselda tried to commit suicide last week, October 8, due to loneliness. According to reports, Criselda swallowed liquid laundry bleach and detergent inside her condominium unit in Makati.

The sexy actress was rushed to the Ospital ng Makati but she refused medical treatment. She signed a waiver before walking away to hail a cab back home.

Hours after the incident, a distressed Criselda granted an interview to QTV 11 and poured her heart out.

"I'm sick and tired of being alone... I don't have anyone here. I just wanted to die," she said, sobbing.

Criselda blamed Cris for her misery, accusing the That's Entertainment alumnus of stalling and then refusing to sign important documents that would permit her to bring their seven-year-old son Rafa to the United States.

NO TRUTH AT ALL. In a text message to Showbiz Central, Cris rebuffed Criselda's statement; arguing that communication between him, Criselda and Rafa had been at a standstill for quite some time.

"There is no truth at all to what was claimed that I refused to sign any papers nor didn't allow my son Rafa to live with her," went Cris's text message, which was relayed by Showbiz Central yesterday, October 14.

"That in truth I have not spoken to her [Criselda] for almost three years now. Sadly, I [last saw] my son Rafa a year ago," said Cris.
