Rumor has it that Krissa Mae was the reason behind Polo Ravales and Jean Garcia's breakup. For Polo, it was all nonsense. "Panget yung nangyari," remarked Polo. "Parang ang dating, e, ako lumabas with a girl.

"That time, I was really helping that girl, Krissa, na talaga naman na gumawa na ng bahay. Dahil doon sa pagtulong sa girl, yun na ang dating na may something kami with that girl."

For the record, Polo said that no relationship happened between him and Krissa Mae.

When Startalk informed Krissa of this statement from Polo, she said:

"We don't know kung ano ang talagang implications for ligaw, di ba? Everyday siya nagte-text sa akin. Tinatawagan niya ako everyday. Inaaya niya ako lumabas. Pinakilala niya ako sa family niya. Sa birthday ng tita niya, ng lola niya, nandoon ako. Ginawa niya akong ninang sa dalawang niece niya. Bigay ng rose..."

Emphasizing her point, she added, "Ok, I will be the friend who'll be there for you. Through your hard times, inaaway siya ng press, inaaway siya ng tao. Sinabi nga niya sa akin na one time, ‘Anong tawag mo dito? Di ba nililigawan kita? Pero huwag mong sabihin sa press kasi it's too recent.'

"Sabihin mo na kung anong gusto mong sabihin and we're still to know each other. Ayoko din pumasok sa isang relationship na ganoon ang umpisa—scandalous. [We] were never a couple, never naging kami."

Polo added this comment in a separate interview, "Noong naging magkaibigan kasi kami ni Krissa, magulo na."

Their friendship ended bitterly since Krissa's camp reportedly said that Polo always asked for a loan from Krissa. This issue, however, wasn't the root of their disagreement.

"Actually, we never fought," revealed Krissa. "In the end, parang hindi maganda ang pinakita niya sa akin. It's not worth being close to him. He took advantage siguro of my kindness and my generosity. When I realized na totoo, nagdistansya na ako."

Polo rebuffed this statement of Krissa's by pointing out that he is still friends with his ex. "Like Sunshine," he said.

"Basta, maraming reasons, di ba? Kung gusto mo ng pera. You can come up with many reasons," added Krissa. "Excuse me, I'm a lady that's just starting her career in the Philippines. And I'd love to have friends and be helpful to people. Pero umabot ito sa hindi tama. I'm a strong woman and hindi ako magpapagamit kahit kanino."

Krissa then related how Polo allegedly asked too much from her. "It took how often na parang, laging may reason. Parang ginagamit lang ako nito. Ayoko magpagamit, so, ako na lumayo."

Polo contradicts this by saying, "Nagtratrabaho naman ako at kumikita naman ako. At, kung mangungutang ako, e, hindi sa kanya. Alam ko naman na she's starting. And, ako tumulong sa kanya to get a cheaper place. Siguro in a way, during the time na lumalabas kami, e, nag-expect siya, ‘tapos ganoon ang nangyari, so, nasaktan siya. Kaibigan lang."
